December is now upon us and that means only so many shopping days until Christmas! Once again we will have the Green Hill 12 Days of Christmas Sale. From Friday, December 1st until Tuesday, December 12th we will have a special sale each day. I will send out an email the day before of what items will be on sale. It’s a great time to grab that item you’ve been looking at as a gift or for yourself!

The 2017 Men’s Most Improved Award went to Stu Leer and the Ladies 18-Hole Most Improved went to Liz Walker and the 9-Hole Most Improved went to Carol Tilghman. Congratulations to the winners of this award. It’s so nice when your golf game is on a roll!!! 2017 was a great year for golf! We saw the crowning of some new champions here at Green Hill and we’re looking forward to 2018 being even better. The new Events schedule will come out in early 2018, so keep your eyes open for the email that delivers the new calendar so you can block off the dates and join in the fun.

The Annual Awards dinner was a lot of fun. While our crystal awards apparently were shipped to the International Space Station, (we still haven’t received them and the company doesn’t know where they went!) everyone had a good time with the impromptu awards given. Once the real awards arrive, we will notify all of the DECEMBER 2017

A special thank you needs to go out to Margaret Hinson for her year as President of our ladies golf group. She did a fantastic job and worked tirelessly to make 2017 such a successful year. Her diligence and dedication has been appreciated by all.

I’m looking forward to serving as President and sincerely appreciate all of your support. Please feel free to share any new ideas you may have….it’s going to be a great year!

For the 2018 golf season we have many new ideas and games in the works, which will be shared with you once everything gets finalized. We do plan to schedule at least 2 outings per month at other clubs, where using our WPGA membership entitles us to play on that club’s ladies day. We are also working on ways in which we can involve the 9-holers with the 18-holers for special “fun days.”

Another thing we are planning for the spring is to have a get together/cocktail party, to help kick off the new season. We are hoping that the ladies who participate in the clinics with Rob will to join us, as well, and perhaps even join our Wednesday golf group.

3rd Annual Barry Walter Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, October 5th @ Jonathan's Landing Golf Course in Magnolia, DE. Vicki's Team consisted of Petra Bernstein, Phyllis Kilian and Liz Walker. Phyllis tucked her shot tight to the pin to win Closest and Liz had a monstrous drive to win the Long Drive Competition. Way to go Green Hill Ladies!! The proceeds of the tournament benefit Operation Seas the Day for disabled Veterans. They are also sending a donation to the Victims of the most recent hurricanes. This is the 3rd year that Green Hill Ladies have fielded a team to honor Vicki's brother, Barry Walter. Thanks, Vicki DEEMBER 2017
