Garden Club News “Spring has Sprung!” Or so the saying goes, complete with “iffy” weather and changing temperatures! But, rest assured that the hot growing season is not far behind! The Garden Club is getting ready! This past month's program was by Cheryl Trottier a Master Gardener who spoke to us about common sense landscaping. This takes care to plan your planting around the needs each plant has to be sure you plant things that will grow well where they are planted. Makes sense doesn't it, but think of those things that have been put in your yard that are just hanging on for dear life! We all have them. We in the Garden Club are here because we want to quit doing things that way and want to beautify our surroundings at home and also at Houndslake Club and in our neighborhoods. We welcome your participation. Think of joining us next year. Our last program of the year is a trip to Woodlanders Nursery. Bob McCartney will be showing us his establishment on Colleton Avenue. We will meet in Houndslake Country Club parking lot at 9:45 AM on April 20 and carpool from there. Don't be late; we'll be on our way in time to get to Woodlanders in time for our scheduled tour. Now I'm off to plant Strawberries in the SUN!!
