The CDT Department conducted a wood carving workshop with Mr. James Lotha as the Resource Person, for the students of Upper School. It was a three-dayworkshopandthestudentscameupwith somebrilliantworks.
This year's Founders' exhibition showcased folk art, Gond art, Pipli art, lighting and shades, macrame, quilling, digital illustrations., sketchboard, applique work, thread lamps, model making, POP carving, wood carving, paper cut work, product design, crochet, cartooning, glass painting, origami and dresses.
One of the themes for the Art Exhibition this year was "Scenes of AVS". The students tried to portray their favourite spots in the school, through their paintings as beautifully as possible.
On the 25th of January, some selected students of Class 11 were taken to the Khelmati Market for a short sketching trip.
Shrey Modi of Class 12 (CDT Captain) won the 2022 International Photography Competition on the theme 'Bamboo for Sustainable Development’. The competition was organised by National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan and the South Asia Bamboo Foundation, India.
Harshi Kashyap of Class 12 won the ‘Special Mention’ Award for the ‘Thirteenth International Painting Competition’ 2022 on the theme “Diversity”. She was shortlisted among 1000 paintings from 215 schools across India, Middle East, Bangladesh and Singapore.
The creatives published are the students’ ideation and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Assam Valley School .
