Racquet Update:
As we start to look ahead to spring and warmer weather, it’s a great time to reflect on a busy and successful winter down at the racquet house.
With the new PTI (Platform Tennis Index) ranking system in place, we were able to introduce several new events based on level. These were a great success and provided competitive, fun match play for all participants.
Throughout the winter, we hosted Men’s and Ladies’ Nights on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. Keri and I truly enjoyed both watching and participating in these nights—they continue to be a highlight of the season.
March was filled with great events, including the Member/Guest and Club Championships, which brought strong competition and great energy to the club.
As the weather begins to break, we’re excited to get back outside with the start of pickleball leagues and cardio tennis classes. We are looking forward to getting the tennis and pickleball side of the racquet facility fully up and running for the season.

As summer quickly approaches, we wanted to provide information specific to Junior Tennis at Orchard Lake. Below we have highlighted the weekly practice schedule, challenge matches, special event dates, and information on skill assessments for red, orange, green balls.
Weekly Schedule:
Tennis 1 – Ankle Biters (Ages 3–5)
Time: 8:45–9:30 AM (Tues – Fri)
Tennis 2 (Ages 6–8)
Time: 9:30–10:30 AM (Tues – Fri)
Tennis – Ages 13+
Time: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM (Tues – Thurs)
Tennis – Green Dot/Orange Ball (Ages 7–10)
Time: 12:30–2:00 PM (Tues – Thurs)
Tennis – Ages 11–12
Time: 1:30–3:00 PM (Tues – Thurs)
Skill Assessments
This year we will provide skill assessments for the red and orange ball levels to assure they are appropriately aligned for matches.
Assessments will be held on the following dates from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM.
June 6th – Red Ball
June 14th – Orange Ball
June 20th – Red Ball
June 27th – Orange Ball
July 11th – Red Ball
July 18th – Orange Ball
Challenge Matches
Challenge matches will be available on designated days/times throughout the week in addition to the Monday ladder dates. We will provide an update once they have been identified.
