OLCC and First Tee – Greater Detroit

This season Orchard Lake Country Club is supporting First Tee – Greater Detroit, a youth development organization that uses golf to teach local youth critical life skills and traits such as honesty, integrity, perseverance, resiliency and self-confidence. On June 27th, the club was part of a very unique and special experience for First Tee participant Shaun Horne.
OLCC hosted Shaun and Morgan Hoffmann for a few holes of golf that were filmed as part of a special project that Morgan is working on, which will detail the lives of youth golfers.

Morgan is a professional golfer, Greyson co-founder, the former #1 amateur in the world and a three-time All-American at Oklahoma State University. Morgan was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy and is today a health and wellness advocate who has been able to transform his personal health through natural healing modalities. Two-time Emmy award winning filmmaker Stephen McGee is the filmmaker working with Morgan and his team.
For Shaun, who is an aspiring collegiate golfer, the chance to meet and play golf with Morgan was a rare opportunity. OLCC was thrilled to be part of this wonderful and life-changing experience and work with First Tee – Greater Detroit to make it happen. Thank you to Aaron and his team who got the course ready earlier than usual and also helped make sure the day went smoothly.
