More than 10 years ago, when the electrification of mobility was still a chimera, ORBIS began the first projects for charging stations and management platforms, convinced that it was a future solution in the sustainability strategy. Since then, innovation and technological proposals have not ceased, with
5 generations of products and solutions, and more than 100.000 VIARIS charging stations installed and connected, which have positioned us as pioneers and leaders in the EU market with products and services recognised by satisfied customers worldwide.
STREET LIGHTING
At the dawn of the 1950s, ORBIS presented to the market its first astronomical switch, equipped with a complex mechanism that automatically made adjustments to the sunrises and sunsets, for connection and disconnection of electrical lighting. Thus began our commitment to energy efficiency.
Dozens of new products have been relieving this legendary astronomical clock throughout more than 70 years of innovation in the field of public and private lighting that guarantee today, the optimisation of much of the lighting of cities around the world.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
At ORBIS we are obsessed with mechanical perfection, which is why we design and manufacture analog and digital technology capable of working with the same precision as the first day. With this obsession and the vocation to improve energy consumption, our installation and electrical measurement products are born, as our first product, the indestructible T4 staircase timer did in 1950.
Millions of new products installed around the world followed this first minute, with notable innovations such as the creation of the most compact mechanical timer, UNO, forming the most complete range of timers, time switches and motion/presence detectors, intended for the home, residential and industrial environment, where the factor of time programming has a fundamental relevance improving energy efficiency and service.
Our research has also accompanied in a timely manner the challenges of the development of the measure in the electrical infrastructure. It did so with our rate timers for billing and recently with the deployment of DOMOTAX smart meters.
Our range of CONTAX meters is based on this proven reference measurement and communication technology with applications where accurate electrical and metrological measurement (MID certification) is the decisive factor in an electrical panel, installation or a charging station for electric vehicles.
