Rafelnuus... We would like to wish all the best to Marianne and her team for 2012. Hopefully everyone had a lovely holiday and is eager to start the New Year.

Tannie Rina had a very busy holiday and finished no less than 5 projects. Not all are quilt related but they are done, so now she has more space in her workroom for fabric. She took a well-deserved rest from working on her goody bag projects and is all ready to pick them up again. She received a journal from Griet Lombaard, which features one of Griets quilts. Griet sent regards to all at the Oranje Quilters guild.

Karin spent her time to do absolutely nothing but relax. Every time they went to The Cabin for a few days she would take along a whole lot of quilting to do but needless to say they came back untouched. Hopefully she will start getting back to reality soon.

Alta Street went to Cape Town to visit her mom, and when she got back she had finished the hand quilting on her grandson Kyle’s quilt. Now to start the joining, so he can cuddle under her work of love.

Our group has got a bit smaller with a few ladies leaving. A few of our group got together on a couple of Saturdays to work on goody bag projects. With sooo many helping hands they finished in record time. Thank you Alta du Plessis for letting these ladies take over your home.

We wish everyone a WONDERFUL QUILTING YEAR.
