The rolling hills of the only county in New York that borders both the Hudson and Delaware Rivers are within easy reach from major routes. For travelers coming from the north or south, I-87 is the most direct option. From the east or west, I-84 offers a smooth journey into the county.
The Short Line Bus provides daily service to Orange County from Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, and Westchester.
New Jersey Transit stops at Tuxedo, Harriman, Cornwall, Campbell Hall, Middletown, Otisville, and Port Jervis. Or hop on the MTA (Metro North) from New York City and stop in Beacon, where there is taxi service to Newburgh, right across the Hudson River in Orange County.
