Purpose of CADS
Classrooms are noisy! Use CADS to overcome background noise in the classroom by evenly distributing your voice throughout the room, giving all students the same access to instructional information regardless of proximity to teacher.


How to Use Your CADS
Position microphone — 4 to 6 inches below the chin — avoid items brushing against microphone
Volume should be set at a comfortable listening level for students (not too loudly!)

Speak at a normal rate and volume
Mute system when working in small groups, having side conversations, or stepping out of the classroom
