Golfers to the green Around 90 keen golfers from Porsche Centre Brighton and Porsche Centre Doncaster enjoyed perfect weather and a perfectly beautiful golf course at the Victoria Golf Club on Friday 23 April. Victoria Golf Club is in the very elite tier of golf courses, located in the sandbelt of Melbourne at Cheltenham. The course has a remarkable set of greens with pure surfaces and sits as one of the international top 100 courses. The course was established at Fisherman’s Bend in 1903 and moved in 1926 to its present 128-acre site in Park Road, Cheltenham. It was opened on 14 May 1927 when the Prime Minister of the day, Stanley Bruce, struck the opening ball in front of a 1000-strong crowd. Overall winner at the recent golf day was Leslie Mencio with runner-up Michael Aisenberg. They will represent Porsche Centre Brighton with their respective partners – Maurizio and Leeanne – at the next Porsche Australia Golf final.
