Literacy Interventionist Curriculum & Instructional Program Manager – SRCL Grant
Job Summary: Under the administrative supervision of the School Site Principal and the programmatic supervision of the Director of NCLB Federal Programs or designee, the Interventionist will work directly with the teachers, Literacy and Numeracy Coaches, school administrators, school leadership teams, Central Office personnel and at-risk students. This is a contract subject to renewal based on need, services, and performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. To provide small group and/or individual instruction to targeted students in the areas of reading, language arts and/or mathematics. Provide supplemental instruction to at-risk students Attend training in the appropriate model(s) implemented in the school Keep accurate records of student work and interventions Provide classroom teacher(s) with regular progress reports on targeted students Provide supplemental instruction and plan appropriate activities for students in a diverse environment Work collegially with faculty and staff Assist teachers in developing action plans for students who are not achieving mastery Interact collaboratively and productively with school site personnel Express thoughts professionally in oral and written language Possess adequate technology skills Keep abreast of current research, trends and issues in education by engaging in professional development activities Document and/or report attendance as prescribed by school, supplying all necessary documents for processing of payment for services Perform other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience • Bachelors Degree, Master’s preferred; and at least five years of successful teaching experience preferred. • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the five components of reading. • Experience as a clinical interventionist helpful.
