Child Nutrition Area/Field Manager Child Nutrition Department Child Nutrition Director
Job Summary To supervise and perform tasks involved in the procurement, preparation, and service of a reimbursable lunch and/or breakfast and in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Conducts school site reviews as scheduled, to ensure accountability for food, supplies, inventory, point of service, participation, revenue and expenses; • Reviews cafeteria managers’ records and reports for accuracy and compliance; • Inspects school site cafeterias to ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations; • Observe meal sessions to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines; • Observes and evaluates food service equipment for proper maintenance procedures for efficient operation; • Reviews production schedules to confirm that reimbursable meals are prepared according to guidelines; • Monitors employees’ attendance timesheets and payroll records to ensure compliance with the Orleans Parish School Board policy; • Assists with the evaluation of the school site cafeteria managers; • Assists with the employee interpersonal relations to bring to resolution; • Assists with in-service classes and onsite training; • Performs other duties as required; Supervisory Responsibilities None
Qualifications
A. Education and Experience High school diploma required. A minimum of five (5) years experience as a School Food Service Cafeteria Manager and three (3) years experience as a Field Manager preferred.
