Painting

BOLD STROKES in

Your Life Life changed as I learned to make bold decisions and listen to my inner voice. I learned that from painting. My paintings begin before I set an empty canvas on my easel. Nothing happens on that canvas until I can visualize what I want to create. Then brush stroke by stroke, the image starts to form. It's like dancing.

One of the main reasons more people don't allow themselves to practice art is fear. They realize that every stroke of the brush that makes a mark on the paper takes away options. It can't be blank anymore. A direction has been introduced. It's a lot like life.

Sometimes I want to convey a feeling supported by images. One day I watched a program about a new home for young unwed mothers being built. I felt an inner nudge to paint them a picture of safety and assurance. I had no idea where the brush strokes would take me. I submitted my work to the Spirit. One brushstroke at a time, I envisioned peace and safety. The picture that emerged was of a serene bird in her nesting in a beautiful garden. The delivery of the finished painting fell through, so it hung on my studio wall for six years. Then last week I happened to see a new ministry home being built in our area. The Director said this is the perfect paintingcolor, size- mood- for them. Next week this painting will be in the counseling room of the home. And I've been commissioned to do more art and classes. .

PAINTING BOLD STROKES IN YOUR LIFE

One mark or a splash of color changes everything about the picture. Do I want to make another one like it? Do I want to contrast colors or harmonize with that mark? Is adding more marks like this one going to give me the image I hoped to create? Can I use white paint to start all over?

How many of your decisions get you what you genuinely want? Discovering your authentic style is the first bold stroke to make in your life. Are you going to reflect a lively, colorful personality like a Van Gogh painting? An intriguing, Impressionistic lifestyle made of a mosaic of small details? Are you a studied, skillfully painted still-life, paying attention to every stroke? Your style is what you want to say to the world about who you are. People pay consultants a lot of money to build a brand for them. But you can do it for yourself by asking "What do I want the world to know about me?" Then express that in your words, your home, your purchases, what you do in your leisure time, and friends. Most of the pain in my life has come from reacting to others. I didn't realize that I could take control and decide my destiny. I was afraid that my choices wouldn't meet the standards of the people that I thought were experts. I lived to please others. But that turned out to be an excuse for not taking charge of my own life.

|12

For example, I painted an intuitive piece that I called "Creation". I took it to an art show where a judge, associated with a major museum, and sculptured abstract horses, said, "Please don't subject the art world to your painting ever again!" I stopped painting for two years. Then I got the painting out (bold move) and retouched it a bit (taking charge) and entered it into a prestigious show downtown. This judge told me, "I knew this one belonged in the show the moment I saw it because it's one of the finest Impressionistic pieces I've seen in a long time." My pain over the first judge's ignorance wasted my valuable creative time. I gave her remarks power over my creativity that didn’t belong to her. From this experience I learned that rejection can be more about the right time, place, and circumstances, than about your work. Taking charge is having faith that you’re inspired to create for a reason. For most of us, mid-life happens before we realize we want to take charge of our outcomes and expressions. We have families and jobs we can't leave to make changes and start again. I knew a woman in her early 60's who did that. She and her husband had collected Colonialera antiques. She felt bored with her life. So, she divorced her husband and sold everything she owned. Then she moved to an ultramodern condo, filled it from Ikea, and was deeply unhappy. She tried to become someone that she wasn't and it didn't work.

After I determine the mood for my painting, I choose the images that will tell the story of my thoughts. I start with bold colors for the underpainting. Then it becomes lighter and brighter with each layer I add. I paint in a style that has lots of depth and interest. Yet, I'm told they're hopeful and cheerful.

PAINTING BOLD STROKES IN YOUR LIFE

Each area of my painting needs attention. So do our lives. Instead of trying to make huge changes that we might regret, look at each area of life and make a change or two. Be gentle. Try to adjust so that it reflects who you really are. It's the big decisions that set the rest in place. As you begin to take charge of yourself, you'll begin to relax into it, feel less anxiety, and enjoy life. It doesn't take much. Change the plant on your desk at work to one that delights you. Drive on streets with garden laced homes instead of the freeway. Paint a few walls at home a color that always uplifts your spirit. Bring home a bouquet of flowers from the store for vases throughout your rooms Art brings peace and freedom in endless hours of enjoyment. You drop into a reflective zone that benefits your health, engages your mind, and expands your spirit. Using personalized colors creates a language of expression that is uniquely yours. The variety of materials available makes it a lifelong delight. And you are calling the shots.

Whatever creative mode you choose to tell the world about yourself, make sure it's the best of you. You have so much that's good and beautiful about you. People around you need to share in that. Don’t spread negative judgements about yourself. When you walk away, the casual things you say about yourself will remain in their minds when they think of you. It's your choice how others think about you by the words you speak and how you carry yourself. I learned that from a friend in high school. She had a smile on her face, good things to say to everybody. She was always welcomed when she entered a room. See, fifty years later I still think of her with a smile. Not taking charge of your life leaves you at the mercy of others. They have their own best interests at heart. But you know what your heart desires and you have something beautiful to present to the world. Use your creativity to make a gift to the world.

Rainbows and the Violet Flame: Part 2

What is the Violet Flame?

violet became significant to me The color when I saw my grandmother standing in her garden wearing a beautiful, vibrant, violet dress. This was how she appeared to me days after her passing, in 1985. In 2015 when my mother passed away she appeared to me wearing a stunningly vibrate violet adornment around her neck. Then, only a couple years later I would have my first Reiki session and the color violet would explode into my head. WHAT IS THE COLOR VIOLET? The Colors of the Rainbow

Visible light reveals a breathtaking spectrum of seven dazzling colors. When pure white light dances through a prism, it unleashes the enchanting hues of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Each color is intricately intertwined with its own special wavelength, creating visible light, with violet the highest frequency.

THE HEALING AND TRANSFORMATIVE POWERS OF VIOLET LIGHT The high frequency of violet light is used in crystal healing, disinfection of rooms and surfaces, to the power to change or transmute negative energy to positive energy. We choose our crystals and gemstones for their healing powers - amethyst being a coveted gemstone for its healing properties. Amethyst dates back to ancient civilizations who revered it for its ability to calm the mind and emotions, believed it to promote clarity of thought and facilitate spiritual growth, and embraced its potential to soothe the soul and protect against negative energies. In hospitals and laboratories, violet light is used for its remarkable ability to eliminate viruses and bacteria, effectively disinfecting rooms and surfaces. Violet Light Disinfection is noninvasive and proven effective in reducing harmful pathogens. Applications of violet light extend beyond disinfection, as ongoing research explores its potential in various medical treatments and therapies.

Violet light purifies atoms and electrons bringing about transformation on a deep and profound level. Its alchemical action has been revered for its capacity to transmute negative energy into positive energy, it has the power to clear the karma of lifetimes. The Violet Flame holds the potential to create and un-create; to manifest positive outcomes while also dissolving or releasing energies that no longer serve us, not only on an individual level, but also within the collective consciousness. INVOKING THE ENERGY OF THE VIOLET FLAME Opening the Violet Flame can be done through prayer, mantra, and visualization.

Holistic Wellness and Mind Body Soul Balance

|15

PART 2 WHAT IS THE VIOLET FLAME? Prayer can invoke the Violet Flame when asking for its transformative power to assist in the release of negative energy and the elevation of consciousness. Mantras are a focused and repetitive way to attune oneself to the frequency of the Violet Flame, allowing its purifying energy to flow through the mind, body, and spirit. Visualization involves creating a mental image of the Violet Flame and immersing oneself in its radiant and transformative light, harnessing its purifying and healing properties. Using any of these methods individually or combined, enables personal growth and spiritual awakening.

I use this mantra when I want to invoke a feeling of calm and knowing, or when I struggle with an emotion such as doubt or fear. Say it aloud and repeat it as many times as necessary to feel its power in every cell of your body. Mantra: I AM a being of Violet Fire I AM the purity God desires As we attune ourselves to the vibrational frequencies of the violet flame, we open ourselves to a profound journey of selfdiscovery and inner healing. In embracing this sacred energy, we may find ourselves more aligned with the wisdom of the universe, allowing us to navigate our lives with clarity, grace, and a deep sense of connection to the divine. EMBRACING A NEW AGE A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE SPIRITUAL AND THE PHYSICAL REALM

The Power of the Spoken Word I AM

The power of the spoken word and the invocation of "I AM" has been used as a means of manifestation, affirmation, and communication since ancient times. The phrase "I AM" holds significant meaning in spiritual and metaphysical contexts, often representing a declaration of one's identity and connection to a higher state of being. The act of speaking affirmations or mantras aloud imbues them with greater energy and intention.

|16

Do you feel a profound shift in the energy around us? It's as though a new light is breaking through, illuminating pathways we may not have seen before. The violet flame is a bridge that enables us to traverse between the physical and spiritual realms. It is an energy of transformation and purification. By embracing the Violet Flame as a catalyst for positive change it allows us to harness its transformative power, bringing about healing, balance, and spiritual evolution. Next month: the alchemy of the Violet Flame as it relates to its healing power, past and present karma, and the chakras.

Do you have a pet pal question? We all do!! Fill out our QUESTION FORM and we would be happy to include you in our upcoming editions! You can also email us at angelmorgan.orm@gmail.com. Don’t forget to visit our website angelmorganpetpsychic.com, or on Instagram @angelmorganpetpsychic When I had to let him go to the rainbow bridge it was not the way I wanted. I Keep thinking I made the wrong decision. maybe he would have been ok. I Want to know if he was ready to go? Did he know I was there? Did he forgive me? I so miss him and love him. Mary - Dobson, NC USA

He wants you to know that he loves that you are keeping his collar in a “special place” he says when you hold it, it feels like you are holding him and he sees you. He also says it's okay to have his favourite stuffy around even though it's still hard to look at it. He did like his food and there was nothing more you could do. He was happy you made the decisions you did, if anything it would have been okay to help him cross sooner ( I get maybe a few days sooner). It's all good mom. You were brave and this dog knows you loved him and still do! Do you do lost animal cases? Terena - Grimsby, Ont This is always hard. Many communicators no longer do lost animal cases. It is a gift in itself. These are people we call finders. They are able to locate lost objects, people, and even animals. They are as rare as the pink panther diamond.

It is always hard to say goodbye to those we love. My heart always tells me that if we make these decisions from a place of love there is no forgiveness necessary. I literally feel like he doesn’t even understand why you feel bad. He was totally ready to go. If puppies could shrug and say, “Meh, its okay ma…” He would be. He is also showing me friends. I can see him and he feels so very physically expressive. |18

www.opalpublishing.ca

ANGEL’S ANIMAL CORNER

The reason it is challenging too is the emotions involved. We as communicators become very attached to the situation and families. It is devastating to both us and them when a precious pet pal won’t be coming home. In rare circumstances it does not want to. That is not the case here. This is Myla. Her owner reached out to me a while ago. If she hasn’t already, I do feel she will. I always wish the best to all the animal families that face this challenge and encourage them to keep looking for a communicator that can do this work. They are out there! This is LulaBelle

She is the newest member of the Raising Energy family. I wanted to talk about her today because she is a perfect example of being led to the perfect pet even if you don’t think they are that in the beginning. After my baby snake Morpheous passed I was broken and divested. I mourned heavily, and like all pet family members wondered if there was more I could do, and held guilt around his passing. I would say to myself “I’m a communicator I should have done things differently!!” No matter who we are, we grieve. I woke up one day feeling like I had to go to a very specific store. I had been shown a red snake that I was to find. Before taking the long trek to the location I had seen in my vision, my logic brain said pick up the phone first.

So I did. I spoke with a lovely young Lady. After some time she told me her name was Lily…..I had also heard this name in my vision and from two other friends that I had spoken to about it. She went on to tell me that her spirit animal was a snake and that she had red hair!!! She was the snake, and she was to guide me to mine! And so she did. When I arrived at the store, I saw a clutch (a little ball of intertwined snakes) and asked to see them. The owner scooped out a ball of babies (about 10). I asked for the lightest one they had, being still in that vein of wanting an albino like Morpheus. He picked one out, and I picked another from the squiggling pile. I wanted a female and that she was. I took her home and felt very little for her. Even the name I was given in a half awake state didn’t resonate. LULABELLE. Well, I thought, at least it sounds southern (as I have a great affection for anything New Orleans) and I was sad that her name didn’t follow in the vein of our others Neo, Morpheous and yes, Severus snake. I wanted to call her Faema the goddess of Fame, but she was also the goddess of gossip and rumors, and that just wouldn’t do. I consoled myself by going to the Internet to see if this name even existed. What a shock!!! It originated in Georgia, and it meant Lula famous, and Belle Beauty! The goddess had found a way! And to make it even better, I had realized as a child, and aspiring actress obsessed with vintage films, I loved Taluluha Bankhead. She was THE original movie starlet, the first female star in Hollywood. Lula was now complete. Her name in its full beauty was now TalulahaBelle! Every animal has a place in its life when we get them. I hear so many people talk about how they don’t connect to a household pet pal. The reason is that we are resisting what they have to offer. Each pet, like each person, is our teacher and guide. Each one is loving saying….I am here.

KAT BERARD

“PLEASE, TAKE A SEAT” A session with Ms. Kat Medium/Clairvoyant Creating a space that feels safe and comfortable is the aim for the “office” The soft scent of sage has lingered through the space, clearing yesterday's energy. A white candle is lit with a wooden match. One by one the salt lamps are turned on. Looking around the mood is set. A Feeling of peace has filled the room. Now comes the Universal Love...cho ku rei symbol to each corner. Asking for power and strength for those to come in yet protection from the energy just outside the frosted door.

“Please Take a seat”. My Solar Plexus Chakra begins to react. The uncertainty of the unknown and the anticipation of who will come is making my breathing react. I am experiencing my clients' uncertainty. Sitting across from “Barb” (name changed for confidentiality) I ask to take a moment to take a breath. I explain to her the process of a Medium Clairvoyant Reading and what to expect. That it is up to her to allow or to ask Spirit to come in or leave, and remind her that her mom is here to speak to her. This is when the tears begin.

As I wait for the client, I begin to connect with the Spirit of Our Passed Loved Ones, channeling guided messages for our client. Meditation and mantras are often used although not always required. I hear from the Crystal Shop a young woman asking for Ms. Kat. Taking a deep breath I am ready. We are ready. The guests from the other side are patiently waiting, filling the space quickly and some are pacing. There is a knock on the door. I open the door.

My heart begins to warm with love for her. Honouring my clients is important. As an empath I feel their love and pain as I am allowed to tread carefully and watch, listen and just be with these healing moments. The first of many tissues are taken. I ask if she would like to talk to her. Or does she just need to hear what she has to say?

Holistic Wellness and Mind Body Soul Balance

|21

As Barb gathers her emotions I watch as her mom moves from the doorway to standing behind her placing her hands on her shoulder and moving Barb’s hair. I see Barb moving as if she knows something is there but doesn’t know why. I sense that she thinks there is wind that is moving her hair. I softly say, “No window is open, love, it is your Momma,” as I say that she has such a beautiful smile looking at her daughter. I smiled too. Barb looks up and allows more tears to fall. The apologizing comes, “I am sorry for my tears”. “Never apologize love, it's OK.” Sensing she is ready, Mom and I begin. Channeling such a kind soul is truly beautiful. Mom begins and feels like there is no time. Telling her to slow down we share words just like an everyday conversation. I tell Barb “Momma loves her”. “Tell her she did more than enough.” “Thanking her for releasing her.” Then laughter comes from Momma as she shows me a large mixing bowl and tells me she messes with the cookie mix the other day. “Ask her” she says, and seems like she raises her voice ASK HER if the cookies didn’t turn out because I messed up with the recipe. I laughed. So, I then asked Barb if she made cookies the other day. She nodded. I giggled. “They didn’t turn out, did they?” She began to giggle. “Nope” Barb said. Well I said you can Thank Momma and she says stick to cooking and not baking. It was her thing. I apologized because I was giggling with Momma now. Soon Barb was laughing too. I tell her that her Momma is standing with her and how she still plays with your hair. Barb smiled and said yes we used to lay on the couch when I was young and she played with my hair. I explained that she would always be her little girl. Momma then told me to tell her to tell she did enough and she was ready.

|22

The words rocked the emotions again. Tears and more tears. Explaining it is difficult to see the end when someone who you love unconditionally takes their last breath. Love gets stronger from the other side and that believing in Spirit brings us comfort. For these moments we are Blessed. Closing the session a hug was in order. As I held her I whispered, “you are such a beautiful daughter and remember she will always be there when you need guidance just ask.” “Thank you” Barb opens the door. Another day in the life of Medium Clairvoyant Readings with Ms. Kat. Grateful for the moments Spirit Trusts, most of all my clients TRUST. That day many Spirits did come in but Barb only needed to hear from Momma and sometimes this happens. Other spirits will wait sometimes, not always. We give them the opportunities to connect again. Healing through a Medium Clairvoyant Reading takes emotional healing to a different level. Knowing that their loved ones still have guidance and love for them.

Taking the pleasure to hold space with Spirit and Clients with Love and Love from the office of Ms. Kat Coldwater Ontario.

JEANNIE VASSOS

Clearing Negative Energy

you feel the difference between C ould walking into a dingy bar and a cathedral? Aside from the different décor, the bar would feel heavy and the cathedral would feel light, right? How can you make your house or workplace feel lighter? The obvious first thing is to tidy and clean it. This should be done regularly, but it is even more important when wanting to raise the vibration of the space. Also, get rid of anything that you don’t use or don’t like, and repair anything that is broken. Regularly take a moment to feel the energy of the room. Sometimes it doesn’t need a full cleansing, but other more ordinary ways can clear and heighten the energy, which you can do more frequently. Consider playing uplifting music, bringing nature indoors, such as plants, flowers, rocks, crystals, wood, water, shells, etc… You can also diffuse the best quality essential oils you can find, or wear them on yourself, and even just an open bottle on your desk is helpful.

|24

Lavender and Peppermint are easiest to find. Place spiritual symbols/ornaments or artwork that has meaning and uplifts you, such as Buddha, Angels, Fairies, Dragons, etc… To properly remove a deeper layer of negative energy, white sage (not the edible kind) is usually used along with high vibrational water/holy water. This water can be blessed by a well-respected, honourable spiritual person (a shaman, priest, ritual master, etc…) or you can create your own positive and uplifting blessing yourself by placing your hands around the container and with your highest intention, say words and flow the positive energy into the water. You may also use a natural floral scented water, such as rose or lavender, as they maintain a high vibration as well.

www.opalpublishing.ca

CLEARING NEGATIVE ENERGY

The smell from burning of sage will linger, so if required, you may consider having a few windows open. And while burning sage in a shell and fanning it with a feather feels natural, you can use any non-flammable container and anything sturdy enough to fan the smoke. (Yes, you can use a tin foil plate for the sage, and a paper plate for the fanning) Light the sage as you would a piece of incense, to get a flame going and then blow it out so it only smokes. Begin at the doorway and walk clockwise around the room. Fan the smoke towards the wall. Walk not too slowly or too fast, and walk with intention. You can spend an extra moment at the corners.

Clearing and cleansing your space of negative energy has enormous benefits, such as, you will work more efficiently, sleep better, be more creative, have an easier time relaxing, and communication will flow better, and who doesn’t want that?

The Vibrating Power of WORDS “The vibration of good words has a positive effect on our world, whereas the vibration from negative words has the power to destroy.” "The most powerful words are Gratitude and Love… Emotions and Feelings have an effect on the world, moment by moment. Make a choice how you think and feel."

The high vibrational water should be in a spray bottle, but can also be sprinkled around with your fingers, and follow the same directions as the sage. Start at the door and move clockwise. The water doesn’t have to touch the wall. For a whole house, start at the front door and make your way upstairs. At the top of the stairs, go around the top floor, room by room, clockwise. Then come down and do the ground level, then the basement. And do it both with sage and high vibrational water. While it is best to use sage, the smoke from other natural items can also be burned, such as Palo Santo, rose petals, lavender, and sweetgrass.

Theresa Stone, Lightworker

Remember to Breathe; Breathe to Remember S o many transformations are occurring and

more are yet to come! How have you transformed since January? Have you started laying the groundwork for all your beautiful intentions? Are you being mindful of your words, cultivating aligned relationships with the words you’re using to build structure for your intentions? Are you taking inspired action towards cocreating your reality with the support of the Universe?

This theme of breathing and remembering is helping me settle into the stillness of peace, mindfulness, faith, and inspired action. For I know everything is working out exactly as it needs to, within the perfectness of divine timing. Although, this may not always be easy to remember, especially if we look at the unfolding chaos and head shaking occurrences of the world today. It is far too easy to become distracted and lost in the concept of victimhood, separation, and hopelessness.

If not, be gentle with yourself, seeds take time to grow.

However, what I’ve noticed from a place of grounded breath and connection/centeredness, is that what I am witnessing is a collective unconscious world unraveling faster than I can blink. Where old outdated systems, beliefs, patterns, concepts, ideologies, etc. are falling away to give birth to a new way of doing, feeling, thinking, believing, and existing, which can feel overwhelming, confusing, and so very unsafe and uncertain if we let it.

As the energy of spring lurks on the horizon, and we say goodbye to the incubation period of winter, it will become easier to start planting our intentions with rooted action. This ending brings with it an energetic pull to physically clean and clear out our spaces, further clearing us emotionally and mentally, opening us for new opportunities and experiences, which is so excitingly beautiful! For myself, as I’ve been settling into the new energy of 2024, not only have I been getting ready for spring cleaning, I’ve found myself consistently returning to my word and theme I set back in January, which is ‘Remembering to Breathe; Breathing to Remember’.

Perhaps this is what you’ve seen too? I’ve found myself asking, ‘What is a person to do when they are witnessing so many head shaking occurrences, so we are not adding to the emotional density of this rapidly transforming world in an upmost lovingly, and divinely guided way?’

REMEMBER TO BREATHE; BREATHE TO REMEMBER

My answer… Remembering to Breathe; Breathing to Remember At first simply breathing may not appear to be a useful way to go about lovingly offering support to what seems like a world gone mad, but breathing helps bring us back to a state of peace and grounded-ness. Then from this grounded state, we can move forward more in alignment when the times of advocacy and taking a stand are necessary. I’m reminded of a practice that was given to me as a child, which entailed a person counting to 10 before engaging in any action from a heightened state of emotion, like that of anger, rage, frustration, even excitement, and joy, etc. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp this concept, but now I realize it was designed to help a person settle back into their body and collect their thoughts before jumping into action. It also holds the underlined intention of helping to avoid doing or saying something that would later be regretted. I find this practice still works well, largely because of its ability to return us to a calm state of being, and I’ve actually added it back into my mindful toolbox, but with the addition of breathing deeply as I count and saying, either out loud or silently, ‘Thank you for helping me.’, or ‘How is this helping me?’, or even, ‘I don’t know how this is helping me, but I trust that it is and I’m grateful for this beautiful experience.’ In essence, we can regularly utilize our breath to help us align to the Universes’ natural flow and rhythm. Breathing helps to harmonize us, soothes our overstimulated nervous systems, grounds and connects our etheric selves into our physical bodies, and helps us harness more of our innate divine abilities.

|28

So maybe the simple act of breathing isn’t so simple after all? It actually appears to be a miraculous gift that we have access to at any moment, and to think most of the time we aren’t even consciously aware of it…

www.opalpublishing.ca

What would it feel like for you to become more consciously aware of your breath and to observe the profound effects it may have on you? What if just by being you, making conscious efforts to return to your innate breath and stillness, living merely with a simple intention to just be loving, focusing on bringing healing to yourself, assisted the world in the upmost of ways? What if every I love you and breath you took from now until forever helped to further this great awakening and shift us all into a new world with such ease and grace, that the old ways are completely eradicated never to return?

May you actively transform, transmute, and transcend these last-ditch efforts of a dying paradigm to bring forward positive momentum for your inner world, as well as the world collectively, just by breathing to remember and remembering to breathe. Wishing you a glorious spring filled with ease, grace, and buckets of love! Gratefully Honoured, Theresa Stone

May the simplicity of your breath and the insights shared here, help to ease the chaos and impacts of the occurrences unraveling around you, to which you may be witnessing. May you consciously use the power of intention and your words, shared in my January and February’s Opal Rising articles, to set intentions that work in accordance with the Law of One to consciously move you along your journey grounded and rooted in the frequency of love.

SANDRA BARGMAN

A Personal Experience

Part 4: The “WHY’ Game When you find yourself in a situation, or experience when you are reacting with anger or any other emotionally triggered way, stop, get quiet and ask yourself why. Why am I angry (or fill in the emotion)? Why does this make me feel angry? Why do I feel so triggered? Stay quiet and present to the answer that comes to you. Don’t judge it. Just stay with it. When you’re ready, treat your answer with the same questions. With each answer, try to simply stay present to the answer without judgment…and keep backing out and asking why. More times than not, you will discover the underlying issue, and potentially your own participation, and will be able to cool the fire and make new choices that feel more empowering. Remember, we can use anger for many reasons, and my personal favorite is self-protection.

Let The World Touch You As you walk through your day allow yourself to simply notice the gifts that are presented around you and take a moment to acknowledge them with gratitude. In each moment there are many opportunities to see the world anew. The kindness of the cashier. The dog who barks at you with its tail wagging. Children laughing. Flowers blooming. I can highlight here by mentioning a focus on noticing Nature. Nature is ever miraculous and ever devoid of anger as I learned during my stint upstate. Taking the moment to stop and acknowledge these gifts will flood your mind and body with dopamine, the “feel happy” chemical, and you begin to retrain your mind to connect to beauty rather than defaulting to anger. Trust me, 15 minutes a day will make an enormous difference.

How I Found My Path as a REIKI PRACTITIONER H ave you ever wondered why some paths

seem to choose us rather than the other way around? Well, that's precisely how I found myself on the journey of becoming a Reiki Practitioner. Let me share my story with you. Growing up, health issues were a constant companion in my life. From battling typhoid fever at a young age to facing numerous surgeries, my journey was marked by struggles and close calls. Doctors felt helpless not knowing what course of treatment could help me. I was even told by a surgeon that most doctors do not like to have patients like me because I had too many health issues and they were unable to find a solution for me. But amidst the challenges, I refused to let illness destroy me. Instead, I accepted each day with resilience and determination. It was during one of these challenging moments that I stumbled upon Reiki. Recommended by a customer at a flower shop, I found myself in a dimly lit room, unsure of what to expect. As the session unfolded, I felt a presence beyond the physical realm, an experience that freaked me out at first and it sparked my curiosity. Little did I know, it was the beginning of a journey I never imagined I would be on.

They say when you're meant to follow a certain path, the universe finds ways to guide you. And so, despite my initial apprehension, I found myself drawn to explore Reiki further. Through books, conversations, and personal experiences, I began to open up the mysteries of energy healing. With each Reiki session, I felt a profound shift within myself. The once frequent hospital visits became rare occurrences, replaced by a sense of peace and balance.

HOW I FOUND MY PATH AS A REIKI PRACTITIONER

Feeling this newfound relief from my regular trip in an ambulance to the emergency department, I decided to become a Reiki Practitioner so I can help others going through what I have, with my health. Combining my passion for floral design with the healing arts I experimented with inducing healing energy onto the floral arrangements, and the feedback I received from clients who were not aware of my inducing healing energy was so encouraging. They would call me to tell me they felt my floral arrangements gave them a sense of healing when they received them. This was when I felt I must explore more about how I can help others through Reiki. I also chose to study reflexology; as a teenager I had an intuitive sense of the benefits of reflexology, and this enriched my practice with diverse modalities. I often practiced on my siblings when they did not feel well even though at the time I was not even aware of the practice of reflexology. As I delved deeper into Reiki, I discovered a profound connection to the spiritual world. My intuitive gifts flourished, guiding me to see beyond the physical and into the realm of energy and spirit, so much so I was even able to see spirit with my physical eye as well as from my mind’s eye. Today, as I walk the path of a Reiki Practitioner, I am humbled by the opportunity to facilitate healing in others. With each session, I channel love and intention, witnessing the transformative power of energy healing. This journey has filled me with moments of awe and gratitude, as I witness the profound impact of healing on my clients, seeing them happy and feeling a sense of inner peace is so rewarding for my soul.

|34

So, did I choose to be a Reiki Practitioner? Perhaps not in the conventional sense. But in accepting this path, I've discovered a sense of purpose and fulfillment. And for that, I am eternally grateful. Join me on this journey of healing and discovery, where the power of intention and love makes a great impact on those who need healing. Together, let's shine the light on the path to wellness and embrace the transformative journey of Reiki.

SHARON CARNE

A New COLLECTIVE SOUL SONG for Humanity The use of sound for healing is as old as the

human family itself. We evolved with sound as a healer. It’s in the genetic memory of every human being on the planet. In these chaotic times, where we are inundated with sound and noise, we’ve lost touch with that memory.

Sound (and music) also awakens your soul and your soul’s purpose. And, right now, our human family and our beautiful planet needs the collective soul song from every heart to sing a new way of being. Connected to heart and soul. Reminders of who we really are at our essence. This collective soul song is as ancient as you are. Your entire being sings with this song. It is a part of you. For several thousand years, humanity has been singing songs that are divisive. Separating hearts and voices that are designed to sing together. But now, with so many hearts and souls evolving into a new way of being, we are creating a new chorus to this ancient song. A chorus that is steeped in our inherent power as co-creators with the universe. We are waking up to the enormous power of thought and emotion. Angry, fearful thoughts do create an angry, fearful experience of the world. Compassionate, kind thoughts do create a compassionate, kind experience of the world.

|36

We are waking up to the individual and collective power of the third eye. The third eye represents intelligence, intuition, and perception, especially what I like to call ‘intelligent perception.’ Perception, that is, how we see our world, is completely ruled by our perceptual filters. The term, perceptual filter, comes from the world of advertising where they are created to entice people to buy products. The term for the same process in the field of psychology is selective perception. Wikipedia defines selective perception as, “Selective perception is the process by which individuals perceive what they want to in media messages while ignoring opposing viewpoints. It is a broad term to identify the behavior all people exhibit to tend to "see things" based on their particular frame of reference. It also describes how we categorize and interpret sensory information in a way that favors one category or interpretation over another. In other words, selective perception is a form of bias because we interpret information in a way that is congruent with our existing values and beliefs. Psychologists believe this process occurs automatically.” Your inner sage lives in your third eye chakra.

What happens to you in your daily life is experience. Something happens like someone cutting you off in traffic on your way to work. That is a simple occurrence that has no meaning.

The cool thing about this new song of empowerment is that you begin to notice others who are singing the same song. Then begins the quiet collective song of connectedness. Meet humanity’s inner sage!

We create meaning about the occurrence with our response to it. Like “This is going to be a bad day.” or “Who does that guy think he is, cutting me off like that!” or “This person must be late for work.” Or whatever significance we attribute to the event. What we forget is that our response to anything that happens in our daily life is a choice. When you really let that fact sink into your being, you then begin to ask, “How do I choose to respond to this?” Meet your inner sage! When you begin to do this, you begin to sing a new song of empowerment.

To sing this song of empowerment continuously, takes a huge commitment to becoming responsible for your thoughts. And how you choose them, either consciously or unconsciously. You are the only one who can do this for yourself. The fact is, you are choosing your thoughts all day long. Most of us choose our thoughts unconsciously. When you being to choose your thoughts consciously and take responsibility for that, your whole world changes.

Singing together, chanting together connects us like nothing else can. It reminds us that as a collective, we have enormous power to guide change. You may remember Masaro Emoto, who raised our consciousness about how words, sounds or feelings change the structure of water crystals. He documented this in several books. As Masaro Emoto travelled the world lecturing, he also gathered groups of people together to chant or pray for a polluted lake. The water pollution was measured before the event and again after the event. In 1999 he did this experiment at Lake Biwa in Japan. The lake was choked with algae, had a foul odor and much of the plant life and animal life in it was dying. A month after the group had chanted and prayed around the lake, the foul odor was gone, algae taken from the lake was down to 110 tons from 1500 tons the previous year and life was beginning to return. As you can see, our collective heart song and soul song is immensely powerful, especially when it is used consciously.

JAMES KAWAINUI

Not just a PARKING SPACE I’ve been hearing this message a lot lately from my Team and the Universe:

SELF-CARE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE! We’ve been realizing more and more lately how we don't take enough time off just to have fun. I knew we wanted to change that so we decided to get out of the house and go on an adventure. Living near Sedona, there’s so many amazing trails and I wanted to hike a trail we'd never been on before. I pulled out the map and trusted my knowingness to pick our spot. The Universe answered in a beautifully magnificent way about a minute later. The parking lot was full when we got there which wasn’t a surprise. Sedona has always been a trendy destination, more so in the last couple of years. It’s often crowded, especially at the more popular trails but I wasn’t worried. I confidently told Ashana go ahead and get a parking pass because I knew that a space would be opening up for us. I just didn’t anticipate how quickly it would happen…

|38

Not 1! Not 2! but 3 spaces!! opened up, all at once, and all next to each other. INSTANT MANIFESTATION. I was confident that was going to happen because of the other message I’ve been getting lately:

YOUR TEAM AND THE UNIVERSE KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AND ARE ALWAYS THERE TO SUPPORT YOU.

www.opalpublishing.ca

NOT JUST A PARKING SPACE

It's when we get clear about what we want and allow things to happen that miracles appear and start happening in our lives. It’s human nature to have to see something in order to believe in its existence. The logical mind is always wanting proof. But what if it's really the other way around? What if we have to believe it to see it? I know, it's just a parking space so what's the big deal, right? But the thing is, the system is set up to work this way.

OUR BELIEF IS WHAT CREATES OUR REALITY. When you can: BE CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT, KNOW THAT IT'S THERE FOR YOU TO ASK FOR AND HAVE, AND LET THE UNIVERSE HELP YOU GET IT.

Miracles and unexpected things will start happening in your life. I’m watching it happen more and more in mine. How will your life change as you’re able to hold this space for yourself and believe you are worth it? Wouldn’t it be fun to find out? And yes, we had an amazing walk that afternoon, taking our time, and soaking in as much nature as we could. It felt wonderful to feel the sun on our faces after being inside all week. We found a circle of trees and sat down and did a short meditation to express our gratitude.

PS. for those of you curious which trail it was, here’s a link just in case you want to do this hike when you visit Sedona. (https://www.greatsedonahikes.com/littlebroke n/littlebroken.html)

Self-care is important. It feeds us on so many levels. Your soul is thirsty for it. Make it a part of your day and an integral part of your life.

DOCUMENTING LEGACY SNIPPETS, STORIES, & SYNERGIES: An Introductory Guide to Legacy Curation

The intertwining threads of our experiences create a tapestry that extends beyond us, sharing this narrative becomes a profound act of living legacy life. Navigating Midlife for transitioning into your Next Fifty is an opportune moment for profound self-reflection, especially when viewed through the lens of legacy. While it might initially seem unnecessary to acknowledge and document experiences from your 40s and 50s, this deliberate effort significantly contributes to shaping your legacy in your 60s and beyond. As you grapple with questions like "Did I matter? Did I make a difference? What was my lasting impact? Was it meaningful?" accessing the reminders stored in your metaphorical shoebox becomes invaluable.

In my personal journey, documented within the Noteworthy Legacy Series— encompassing books, anthologies, promptbooks, and journals—I'm actively curating my legacies. Simultaneously, I'm sharing insights about this documentation and curation process. I encourage you to embark on your own Legacy Series journey, curating the stories and contributions that express your unique narrative. Moving In: This article emphasizes the art of gathering insights, validating sources, and crafting a legacy narrative infused with profound depth and authenticity.

Rather than offering a rigid formula, I advocate for forging your version of your Legacy Series, aligning with your creative expression. Consider this a starting point—edit (add, alter, delete) as it aligns with your individuality. Key Essentials for Documenting and Curating Your Legacy 1) Collect Insights: The essence of a meaningful legacy lies in the collection of insights. From personal reflections to the wisdom garnered from others, the gathering of experiences forms the foundation. Your Legacy Series advocates for a deliberate approach to organizing your valuable snippets, stories, and synergies.

Holistic Wellness and Mind Body Soul Balance

|43

DOCUMENTING LEGACY SNIPPETS, STORIES, & SYNERGIES:

2) Check Sources: Integrity is paramount in the documentation process. Your Legacy Series underscores the importance of meticulously checking the source of research and results. A legacy built on trustworthy foundations ensures authenticity and lasting impact.

7) Advance Resilience with Action: Resilience is the backbone of enduring legacies. The Series prompts you to determine the required resilience in the face of adversities and propose actionable steps. By documenting not only the challenges but the strategies employed, a legacy becomes a living example of resilience in action.

3) Explore Identity with Gratitude: Effective legacy documentation begins with a journey into self-discovery. Your Series encourages you to explore your identity and express gratitude for the milestones and influences that shape your narrative. Acknowledging the roots of your journey adds richness to the documented legacy. 4) Discover Meaning with Presence: Beyond the surface, Your Legacy Series prompts delving into the meaning derived from your experiences. Establishing a presence in the narrative ensures that the legacy is not merely a recounting of events but a reflection of the profound impact these events have had on you. 5) Describe Control with Inspiration: Understanding one's sense of control in various situations is pivotal. The Series has you document this aspect while drawing inspiration from the challenges and triumphs encountered. It's about acknowledging self-concept with agency and channeling it into the legacy for a narrative of empowerment. 6) Explain Optimism with Enthusiasm: An optimistic outlook shapes the tone of a legacy. The Series guides you to explain the hope, faith, and grace present in your documented experiences. Through this, a legacy becomes a source of motivation for others navigating their own journeys.

|44

Consistent Editing and Reflection in Fiction and Faction Writing The process of documenting and curating a legacy is dynamic, ever-evolving. Your Legacy Series champions the idea of consistent editing, underscoring the necessity of refining your work regularly. This iterative approach ensures that the legacy narrative—comprising your stories and contributions—remains relevant and impactful. Also, it reflects your continuous growth and shifting perspectives. Reflection assumes a pivotal role in shaping the outcomes of the series. The encouragement to reflect, both within and upon fiction and non-fiction (faction) writing, advocates for a wholistic approach to legacy documentation. It involves introspection into the mental--emotional and subjective elements of the narrative while also considering the factual and objective aspects. This dual perspective adds layers of authenticity and depth to the documented legacy.

www.opalpublishing.ca

Celebrating and Sharing: A Collective Wisdom Endeavor The journey of legacy documentation is incomplete without the act of celebration and sharing your wisdom. By celebrating the documented, recorded, and curated work, you contribute to a collective reservoir of insights. Sharing this wealth of evidence ensures that others can benefit from your experiences and reflections embedded in the legacy.

Consider writing an autobiography for placement in the National Library. This endeavor is one of my Noteworthy Legacy Projects!

Through my caring collection and examination of evidence pertaining to legacies, I've discovered valuable insights I believe would be beneficial for you. In no particular order or level of importance, here are documentation activities to craft your Legacy Series. The Documentation Process: Unveiling the Layers of Expression Record Keywords and Phrases: Capture essential elements that encapsulate the essence of the experience. Report Personal Results and Research: Integrate personal reflections after crossreferencing with external result/research findings.

Report Educator Results and Research: Integrate others’ research after crossreferencing with your reflection/result findings. Confirm Information: Present snippets or detailed paragraphs to affirm the accuracy of documented content. Draw On Trigger Words and Phrases: Identify terms that act as memory triggers for future reflection. Make Use of Visual Language and Color Coding: Organize thoughts through drawings, shapes, and diagrams, and color-coded systems. Recognize Patterns: Note recurring themes and associated meanings to uncover deeper insights. Key Reminders: Nurturing the Documentation Process Use the White Space: Leverage the space between lines for additional notes and reflections. Record Questions and Responses: Document the ongoing conversation with yourself. Capture Hinder and Help Feelings: Acknowledge the conscious portrait (within, without) and awareness landscape (without, within) associated with each experience. Ensure Regular Review: Establish a consistent review process to revisit and reflect on documented content. Edit Within Designated Time Frames: Enhance records through timely additions, alterations, and deletions. Astrology & the Heavens

BORIS GLIKMAN

REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS IMPERFECT

It is the beginning of a clear May morning. I am running down the stairs, quickly and excitedly, with my neighbours following me.

Saturn

We all want to see Saturn. It just fell down in the communal vegetable patch. There it is, lying in the middle of a freshly tilled bed of soil, looking exactly like itself. A combine of farmers is walking round it, scattering seeds over the earth with wide sweeps of their arms. I approach it gingerly, taking care not to step in the fertilizer. Now I am standing right in front of it. The innumerable icy particles of its rings swirl; beguiling patterns of shapes and colours pop up for an instant, and are then supplanted by new alluring configurations. No earthly contraption could ever equal this celestial kaleidoscope. Inexhaustible permutations of light and form enchant me, and I lose myself in a rapture of contemplation, forgetting everything else.

In mythology, Saturn is the God of Agriculture.

CAROL PILKINGTON

The Paradox of SATURN IN PISCES Saturn is the principle of structure and boundaries to name just a couple, whereas Pisces is the principle of dissolving boundaries. Saturn also rules time. Saturn has an approximate cycle of 28 to 29 years to make its way through all the signs with four cycles of about seven years within. Saturn is about how we master life over time. You could say it is a barometer of how we are learning lessons. The first 29 years of our life is significant in that it informs us of how well we are preparing to take responsibility for ourselves beyond the confines of family and setting our own life course on our own terms. The second 28-to-29-year Saturn cycle when it returns (each 28/29-year cycle is called a Saturn Return) again to its original sign (wherever that may be in your birth chart) can be used as a barometer of how well we have learned and grown and what we need to leave behind and what is useful from thereon. If we are fortunate to live so long, we may reach our third Saturn return at the age of 88/89. And remember there are benchmarks in each of these long cycles along the way to help us understand where we are in our evolution.

Transpersonal Astrologer

Ah, now for Pisces. But, indulge me for just another moment. One of the most prolific astrologers was Dane Rudhyar, Founder of Transpersonal Astrology, who wrote many books on astrology from a humanistic and psycho-spiritual perspective. He coined the term Transpersonal psychology long before (approximately 1933) it was ever used in the field of depth psychology. Very few astrologers understand him but I’ve been blessed to have learned astrology from a Jungian Therapist who has, in my opinion adeptly channeled and has been able to interpret Rudhyar’s works in a way that is palatable to students interested in a deeper exploration how astrology can be used as a transformational tool. As such Rudhyar wrote a book on The Gift of the Signs, translated means the highest potential of each of the signs. And what he said about Pisces is profound and unlike anything you will ever get in the usual “cookbooks” of astrology about this enigmatic sign.

The gift of Pisces is Courage. Ordinarily, Pisces is associated with escapism, disillusion and on the other side of the spectrum it is boundless and connection to the Divine, unity. It can have difficulty setting boundaries and can be idealistic therefore challenged to see things as they truly are. It may linger in the nostalgic fantasy of times past.

However, when a person has Saturn in Pisces in their birth chart it does mean that one must make this as conscious as possible and learn and grow from it. It can present itself as a struggle to make their own life real and take responsibility for their actions. Depending on other things in the chart it can show their sensitivity toward others. I knew someone who often felt that when the “rules” seemed to change would become very upset. It was difficult for the person to pivot and be flexible as is sometimes necessary. One can also feel the need to be the voice for those they feel are not seen, heard or understood, which is often a projection of how they feel about themselves. Saturn in Pisces at its highest manifestation can present as a container for one’s creative outlet. The more Saturn is worked with the better and more productive it can be at holding and molding the Piscean energy and give it structure like the walls of a flowing river.

Therefore, it takes courage to leave the past where it belongs and make the isness of the present ever so real. It is the courage to embrace the constant death birth process that is a fundamental aspect of life. To allow a cycle to end so a new cycle can begin is how we learn our lessons and grow. We are the vehicle by which the universal consciousness evolves. Saturn squirms in the suit of Pisces as it is about getting real, taking responsibility and is very matter of fact, “Just the facts ma’am” as Joe Friday would say for those of an age to remember the show Dragnet. Whereas Pisces is more about feeling and intuition and is comfortable with just letting things happen without concern for the fallout, they can tend to just let life happen to them. Saturn will be in Pisces for the next several years and we’ll have to see how it is revealed in the mass consciousness.
