In between mobile pastoralists and sedentary agriculturalists, transhumance is semi-nomadic living practice that focuses on cyclical movements of a group of people and animals, according to the changing demands of animals during different periods of the year. This diploma unit aspires to reassemble the context of transhumance with an emancipatory, visionary, critical and creative architectural approach, with an emphasis on un-settled modes of living; aiming to leverage their thrilling potentials of oscillation between mobile and stable phases during their various interactions with and extensive environment. Architectural imaginations that involve various temporal, ecological and programatic responses through reconfiguring flexible, open-ended, non-linear relations and discover cutting-edge spatial and structural alternatives fo novel ‘ un-settled’ practices.

The topographies are changes constantly and the manipulaters/speculators creates the new temporal topographies to settle and to disappear like an illusion or a reflection of the light from the landscape through out the flora and fauna.

The transparent/semi-transparent/ colored surfaces creates the flora and fauna by the light passes.

the color palettes of the silences the sounds. The existing woods and the plantations with the river creates the silence with the sounds.

Indicators and images can always evoke different meanings. There is no semantic fixation, it is impossible for us to understand each other. And it’s real. Indicators and images change over time and do not always evoke the same. For this reason, its truth is more important than its meaning. It doesn’t matter whether an event occurred in 2018 or 2005 if indicators evoke the truth. Fear of time does not exist in the rural.

-Language of the topography emerges in;

-weaving the patterns on the materials

-music of larynx

-body performativity

-Silent language / never fixed in

-written text/

-woman who weaving the fabric

-the child throwing stones into the cave

-the goat running in the mountains

-the wind blowing between the valley

-the water drop forming the inner accumulation of the cave

-weaved objects are written [sewn], kept, used, included in life, and forgotten at absurd points.

THOSE behind the hill, in the hill, on the hill, at the hill, near to hill, next to hill, in front of the hill, over the hill, in between the hill, under the hill.

buzing, light, whistle, body performativity, metaphors, voice from the bush, are the part of the language of the topography which is not carrying the responsibility of subject object noun verb relations and certainty. The written language loses its purpose of existence because the existence of the fear of time and fear of uncertainty disappears. we were afraid of uncertainty and misunderstanding in the city. If there is nothing that to fear, we will no longer need subject, object, and verb to form language. To be part of the rural narrative and the nomads narrative the game of the language of the topography is crucial. The sound coming from the depths of the cave is a language produced by the topography. It is a language that exists with a long process and gives meaning to itself in time with historicity. However, it is not written because there is no such concern. It doesn’t need to be in writing format, because it’s truth [fake][performance][occurance][topography][memory] but it’s there just not like in the city. Reflections, hallucinations, delusions, nonsense, misunderstandings, livings, non-livings,interactions produce this language.

the written language of the topography is; an object being able to disappear, needs a new interpretations, includes the guessing game to what it could be, Sometimes ignoring reality at certain moments, imposing its own reality as a new reality; as the truth of the topography, because it wasn’t written as text to be archived as truth all the time. Forces the written texts to not exist.
