SPORTSMANSHIP POLICY

The MOAC, in order to provide a friendly, family environment at our games, is implementing an ejection policy similar to the one adopted by OHSAA. Anyone ejected from an event in which a MOAC school is participating, home or away, league or non-league will be suspended from all contests as follows:

4 First ejection: 2-week suspension from any MOAC school game at any level and any location

4 Second ejection: 90 day suspension from any MOAC school game at any level and any location

4 Any physical contact with an official, player, coach or another fan: Lifetime ban from any MOAC school game at any level and any location.

4 Items A and B include completion of the NFHS Sportsmanship Class (Online). The Certificate of Completion presented to the school administration.

4 Failure to abide by the penalty of items A or B will result in additional suspension. Repeated violations will/may result in permanent exclusion.

SPECTATORS INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

4 Verbal/physical abuse of officials

4 Berating the opposing players, coaches or spectators

4 Chants, signs or cheers berating participants and their supporters

4 Interruption of the contest by:

– Throwing objects on to the floor/field

– Entering the playing area

– Displaying disruptive behavior

In order to make contests as enjoyable as possible, please represent your school and community in a positive and respectful manner. That means follow the rules; speak and act responsibly, and show courtesy and respect for your fellow fans, the officials, and coaches, the administrators and authority figures and, of course, your team and opponents. Let’s make contests great by remembering to RESPECT THE GAME! The MOAC and the OHSAA are committed to showing good sportsmanship.

ONTARIOLOCALSCHOOLSADMINISTRATION

Ontario Local Schools Families,

I would like to welcome you to Ontario Local Schools. It is an honor to have you join us here in support of our student athletes. At Ontario we strive to bring excellence to each of our sports teams. We aim to provide an environment where the students can grow athletically, physically and emotionally. We hope that they build friendships and memories through the many hours they spend in practice and supporting each other in the games . Athletics provides opportunities for students to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, sacrifice and perseverance. All things that will help them throughout their life. I am so grateful to our community and athletic boosters for providing such great facilities for our student athletes to develop and perform in.

Whether your student athlete is participating in basketball, swim, wrestling, or cheerleading, partner with us to make it a great success. A success that is measured way beyond wins and losses, that creates learning and memories to last a lifetime. Remember to display the sportsmanship, pride and respect that our great legacy deserves. I would also like to thank our Warrior Pep band and the music boosters for all they do to make the games such an exciting event.

Thank you and GO WARRIORS!

ONTARIOmiddle SchoolADMINISTRATION

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year here at Ontario Local Schools. I am a 1999 graduate of Ontario High School and have been employed with the district for 12 years. I’ve served as High School Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, Head Football Coach and District Attendance Coordinator before my appointment to the Middle School Principal Job here at OMS.

The education that I received at Ontario and the sense of community that it provided my family growing up is the reason my wife and I moved our family here 11 years ago.

Athletics have always been a big part of my life. I believe that athletics and extracurriculars are an extension of the classroom. In a dynamic fashion they teach lessons about leadership, hard work, perseverance and teamwork. I have witnessed over the past 11 years the impact an involved and active booster club can make on a school district and community. As a result of that involvement we have beautiful facilities, so thanks to all of you.

To the students, parents and fans please remember to respect the game, its participants and the facilities.

Thank you and GO WARRIORS!
