Mahmoud and Fawzi have been living in the Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan. Though they both have no sense of what the future holds for them, they focus their energy together on their first love: soccer. Despite the dire circumstances in the camp, they practice day in and day out, believing firmly that playing professionally is their ticket to freedom. When Aspire Academy, one of the world’s leading sports academies, arrives to pick players for an international tournament in Doha, they quickly identify Mahmoud as a talent and fly him there, while Fawzi is left behind due to a technicality. Mahmoud is boarding a plane for the first time and is taking in the experience, while Fawzi is facing the difficult reality in Zaatari. Unexpectedly, the Aspire coaches decide to fly Fawzi in to join his team. The two best friends train and compete in the most important soccer matches of their lives, while their families in Zaatari watch via satellite. After the final match, they speak at a press conference. On behalf of the displaced people of Syria, they make clear that people need an opportunity, not pity. Three years later they grew to young men. They are still stuck in Zaatari, still troubled by fears of an insecure future.
DIRECTOR ALI EL ARABI“17” is a social exploration into the lives of young women who are passionate about a sport they have been told was only for men. The film follows the Jordanian under-17 women’s football team as they prepare for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016. Coming from different backgrounds, each of the girls has faced a different set of challenges as a national team player. But now they come together to face their biggest challenge yet.

Pelé. A name known around the world, a sports legend who changed soccer forever, and a national hero who carried the hopes and dreams of a country on his back. But before he was an icon, he was a kid from the slums of São Paulo, Brazil, so poor that he couldn’t afford a real soccer ball. Charting his meteoric rise-from scrubbing floors to support his family to honing his electrifying playing style on the streets to leading Brazil’s national team to its first World Cup victory at the age of 17-Pelé vividly brings to life the greatest sports story of the 20th century. With Vincent D’Onofrio and Brazilian musical star Seu Jorge.
DIRECTOR JEFF ZIMBALIST, MICHAEL ZIMBALISTWho is that strange boy sitting quietly in the corner of a bus full of screaming fans going to the football match? In fact, this shy boy is a girl in disguise. She is not alone, women also love football in Iran. Before the game begins, she is arrested at the check point and put into a holding pen just by the stadium with a band of other women all dressed up as men. They will be handed over to the vice squad after the match. But before this, they will be tortured! They must endure every cheer, every shout of a game they cannot see. Worse yet, they must listen to the playby-play account of a soldier who knows nothing about football. Yet these young girls just won’t give up. They use every trick in the book to see the match. A smart comedy illustrating the violation of women’s rights in Iran.
This is the story of lost love in a controversial setting. Manal, Zaki and Mounir are in there twenties, living in a confined community where basic needs are met yet chaos and disorder brew. The two boys are in love with the same girl who finds herself being the bet for a football match between them; the winner marries Manal. This story reflects a football and play-station youth and how they deal with their emotions in a community that is increasingly closed off and isolated.
DIRECTOR NADINE KHANIn 1984 Diego Maradona arrived in Naples and all hell broke loose. The world’s most celebrated football genius and Europe’s most dysfunctional city were a perfect match for each other. Diego could do as he pleased whilst performing miracles, but when the magic faded he became a prisoner of the city.

A group of exceptional young ladies in Khartoum are determined to play football professionally. They are prepared to defy the ban imposed by Sudan's Islamic Military government and they will not take no for an answer. Their battle to get officially recognized as Sudan's National Woman s team is fearless, courageous and often laughable. But their struggle is unwavering. Through the intimate portrait of these women over a number of years we follow their moments of hope and deception. Despite the National Football Federation getting FIFA funds earmarked for the women's teams, this team continues to be marginalized. However, there is a new spark of hope when the elections within the federation could mean real change of the entire system.

My friend Samir was born and raised in Beirut, where he lived illegally. During his search for identity and a sense of belonging, Samir was briefly a member of the Lebanese Communist Party, and that is where I met him. Today, ten years have passed since we left the ranks of the party, leaving our failure behind us. Samir recounts where the quest for his identity led him and how he ended up trading a hopeless cause for a successful one. After the defeat of the leftist project, and feeling unable to relate to the real world, Samir created his own alternative universe where victories were not impossible. In the past, our regular party meetings took place at Samir’s house. We continue to meet there on a regular basis. However, the cause that once bound us has changed.
DIRECTOR MARWAN HAMDANCrises overwhelms everything. As for Yemen, a country mired in war for decades, the world only receives news that belittles Yemenis even when they are innovative and talented. The world only sees the images of soldiers and personnel carriers, thus dedicates its attention to casualties and the size of destruction. Meanwhile, talents and abilities are marginalized either directly or indirectly, believing that they are important at this time. The film highlights Sharaf Mahfoud's story and achievements both domestically and externally and how he obtained local titles and titles at the Arab level in general.
