GOAL 1: GROW CFWD’S ENGAGEMENT AS THE LEADERS IN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.
OBJECTIVE 1: ENSURE CFWDS PRODUCTS AND REPORTS ARE RELEVANT TO COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS.
Ensure innovative alignment between employers and educational partners
OBJECTIVE 2: USE THE MANDATED CIPMS AS A TEMPLATE TO DEVELOP AN EVALUATION AND MONITORING SYSTEM.
Collect & review evidence regarding CFWD effectiveness; beyond CIPMS using both qualitative and quantitative methodology
Report findings to the Board, Sponsors and the Public
Facilitate regional round table initiatives
OBJECTIVE 3: GROW COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROCESS.
Create a group of core volunteers to represent CFWD at free events across catchment area These volunteers would hand out CFWD literature, etc to spread the word on CFWD
Maintain situational awareness of community events and CFWD internal annual calendar (ie: events and due dates, etc)
GOAL 2: STRENGTHEN CFWD’S FOCUS ON INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND ACCESSIBILITY.
OBJECTIVE 1: REVIEW ALL CFWD PROJECTS, PRODUCTS AND PARTNERSHIPS FOR ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL.
Ensure that all pathways to success: University, College, Workplace, Apprenticeship (Skilled Trades) and Community developed (Vocational) are included
Engage partners to ensure that activities aimed at elementary and high school students have accessibility built in, accessible venues ASL interpretation, etc
OBJECTIVE 2: REVIEW ALL CFWD DOCUMENTS THROUGH A LENS OF INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND ACCESSIBILITY (IDEA).
Develop a CFWD land acknowledgement in collaboration with Indigenous community partners
OBJECTIVE 3 ENSURE THAT CFWD MESSAGING ‘SPEAKS’ TO ALL COMMUNITIES.
Engage with community partners to ensure that the methods used to disseminate information are accessible for their members
Ensure Board Meetings/Gatherings present a safe space to all participants (members guests, etc)
OBJECTIVE 4: EXAMINE AND IDENTIFY INEQUITY IN MARKETING REGARDING SKILLED TRADES CONTRIBUTING TO THE SHORTFALL IN THESE TRADES
High level, literature review, to share best practices to include women, youth, and other under-represented groups seeking a career in skilled trades, with a goal to reduce stigma
GOAL 3: FOCUS ON TARGETED COMMUNICATION.
OBJECTIVE 1: ENSURE CFWDS PRODUCTS AND REPORTS ARE RELEVANT TO COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS.
Share CFWD products, reports and success stories in newsletters, on website, and through social media
Share CFWD newsletters and social media posts with their networks
Review monthly analytics reports created by outsourced marketing provider, to measure growth of social media presence
Engage community partners and employers in two-way communication when developing new reports, products and projects
OBJECTIVE 2: SHARE CFWD AND PARTNER SUCCESS STORIES, TO INCREASE ABILITY TO EXECUTE MANDATE WITHOUT OVERTASKING SMALL STAFF.
Create new resource categories aimed at specific clients for example: Did you know? Section for employers
Resources pages with links for Job Seekers And/Or Employers
Drop down menu to resources to help employers complete the paperwork for foreign and/or temporary shortterm workers
OBJECTIVE 4 RECONNECT WITH SMALLER COMMUNITIES IN CFWD CATCHMENT AREA TO PROVIDE RELEVANT DATA SPECIFIC TO UNIQUE LABOUR MARKET NEEDS
Increase outreach to community partners in smaller communities engage them through town halls and consultations, for example Labour Market consultation sessions held in Madoc, Bancroft and Napanee
OBJECTIVE 5: IMPROVE INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Re-organize back-office platform, providing a file naming and organization guide, to better curate content and manage information
GOAL 4: IDENTIFY AND ENGAGE ON PRIORITY LABOUR FORCE ISSUES.
OBJECTIVE 1: IDENTIFY GAPS IN LABOUR FORCE KNOWLEDGE MOBILIZATION.

Directors advise operations of funding opportunities that are directly related to Strategic Plan Goals
OBJECTIVE 3: IDENTIFY AND ENGAGE ON PRIORITY LABOUR FORCE ISSUES.
Identify gaps and determine best practices in labour force knowledge mobilization through Employer One Survey, and other readily available labour force information
Engage community stakeholders and partners in the Local Labour Market Plan (LLMP) process
GOAL 5: REMAIN THE EXPERTS IN DATA COLLECTION & DISSEMINATION OF LABOUR MARKET INFORMATION.
OBJECTIVE 1: CONTINUE AND ENHANCE CFWD LABOUR FORCE DATA COLLECTION, ANALYSIS, AND DISSEMINATION
Connect report recommendations to actions; linking the data with community needs in numerous areas
Foster an environment of continuous learning within the organization, explore new types of data collection and new ways to disseminate information
OBJECTIVE 2: MINIMIZE CFWD LIABILITY, THROUGH RISK MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS PLANS.
OBJECTIVE 3: MAINTAIN PARTNERSHIPS, AS THE GOVERNMENT OF ONTARIO MANDATES CHANGES TO SERVICE PROVIDERS. Maintain situational awareness of amalgamation and communication with Employment Ontario Employee Services (EOES) organizations in to the Service System Manager (SSM) structure and related partners
OBJECTIVE 4 RESEARCH, ANALYZE AND DISSEMINATE DATA PREDICTING UPCOMING NEEDS RELATED TO BUSINESS MODEL CHANGES
