COOK’S SLOUGH SANCTUARY AND NATURE PARK –
Located a short distance out of Uvalde, this natural habitat is a great place to observe birds. The park consists of trails with 2 wildlife viewing stations, 5 shaded rest stations, and 25 acres of wetlands. From the intersection of Highways 90 and 83, head south for 0.9 mile to C.R. 106 west, where there is a flashing yellow light. Turn right, and drive 0.5 mile to the park entrance.

WelCome to Quail sPrings rv Park
The owners of the Quail Springs RV Park and their staff extend a “Texas-size Welcome” to the RV travelers who visit this facility.
1. OUR RATES are for 2 people and 1 vehicle. There will be a charge for each additional person and vehicle that stay overnight. See number 21: Monthly
2. ALL VISITORS of our guests are required to be registered with the office and get a parking pass. Vehicle passes must be displayed at all times.
3. CHECK-OUT time is 1:00 pm. QUIET TIME is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
4. TENTS, canopies and vehicle camping are not allowed.
5. NO CARGO, storage, utility trailers or boats allowed in the park.
6. NO PARKING is allowed on the grass, the roads, or in empty sites. Do not drive through our empty sites. Watch your tires when parking to make sure they are not on any part of the grass.
7. KEEP CAMPSITE clean and clutter free. No rugs or mats are allowed on the grassy area.
8. TRASH is to be placed in a plastic bag and deposited in the dumpsters located directly behind the mail boxes. Do not leave the bags sitting outside your RV.
9. CLOTHESLINES are not allowed due to the danger of someone walking or running into them.
10. SHIRTS ARE REQUIRED at all times. Please do not walk around, or to and from the showers, without a shirt on.
11. REPAIRING VEHICLES in the park is allowed only in the event of an emergency and with the permission of the park manager.
12. RV WASHING is prohibited unless it is done by an approved professional mobile service provider and they bring in their own water source.
13. LOCAL ORDINANCES do not allow open campfires. However, charcoal grills and LP grills are permitted.
14. SEWER GASKETS/ELBOWS are required.
15. SEWER LINES are hooked directly into the city sewer system. Do not drain your grey water on the ground. Do not leave your black water valve open as this can cause sewer to back up in your RV.
16. SMOKING is not allowed in any building on the Park premises. We request that you please put your cigarette butts in the nearest receptacle. Do not leave cigarette butts on the ground.
17. OUR SPEED LIMIT is 10 mph.
18. ALL RESERVATIONS for overnight camping will be charged one night if not cancelled 24 hours before scheduled arrival. All monthly reservations will forfeit their deposit if reservation is not cancelled 30 days prior to scheduled arrival.
19. REQUESTED RV SITES are not guaranteed.
20. MAIL is accepted for registered guests only. All other mail will be returned.
21. MONTHLY reservations are month to month only. We will try to accommodate longer stays, but it is not guaranteed. Monthly rates are not prorated. Additional days revert back to daily/ weekly rates including electric.
22. CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL will be confined to the immediate vicinity of your RV. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the public areas of the Park.
23. NO CHARGING of electric vehicles.
MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADDRESS ANY PROBLEM PET AND DEAL WITH IT ACCORDING TO THEIR DISCRETION.
f. No animal that is aggressive to people or other animals will be tolerated.
e. We know dogs bark and can’t be quiet all the time, but if they cannot stop barking, take them inside.
d. Pets will not be allowed in the building at any time.
c. Pet owners are responsible for the immediate cleanup of pet droppings. If your pet has issues and you can’t pick it up, please carry water with you, pick up what you can and wash it down so no one comes along and steps in it. If you don’t have water with you at the time, pick up what you can and mark the spot with the bag. Come back immediately with water to wash it away.
b. Walk pets in your yard or “Common Areas” only. Do not allow them to walk into any other yards. Keep them on the road until you get to the “Common Areas.”
a. All pets must be controlled on an 8-foot or shorter leash at all times while outside. Pets cannot be turned loose, tied out unattended, or in a pen or kennel.
