Activities Office We have so many wonderful volunteers here at Dessert Shadows it would take a lifetime to thank them all. Our little community just wouldn’t be the same without their tireless dedication. People like John Gerber and George Greig. So hats off to John and George, and to all of our incredible volunteers; our little slice of heaven wouldn’t be the same without you!!! We could use a bit more help in the kitchen and cleaning tables on the pancake breakfasts so let me know if your able. TAI CHI: Sandra Jones would like to start up the Tai Chi Basic classes on Thursdays 10:30-11:30am in the back auditorium. Classes will begin on Feb. 7th. PARK PLAY: Congrats to director Paul LePage and his cast of great actors for their theatrical performance in this year’s play production. About 250 people attended the 2 night event. No one actually broke a leg.
B—I– N– G—O Some people have suggested to the Desert Shadows owners that we make some changes to our BINGO night that we have every Thursday. One suggestion was to increase the winning pot size by increasing the cost of the games. Desert Shadows owners and managers don’t care either way, it is up to you, the players. You can cast a vote at Bingo on Feb. 7 and Feb. 14th as to your choice. More info will be provided regarding options of leaving it how it is at $2, increasing to $4, or doing a mix like Orangewood. If the vote is close, we will not change anything, but if a large majority want it changed, we can do that also. You can vote twice, once at each Bingo night. You can also leave a comment on the Comment Line at (623) 465-1487.
