Welcome to Coleto Creek Park
We are located along the shores of the beautiful Coleto Creek Reservoir. Take advantage of the recreation events or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery and wildlife native to south Texas. To assist you in making your stay more pleasant, please take time to read the following important policies for public use. If you need assistance, please contact any staff person.
Camping & Picnicking
ALL VEHICLES ENTERING THE PARK MUST PURCHASE A PERMIT. Speed limits on main Park roads are 25 mph. While on camping loops or in the camping area, speed limits are 10 mph. All motor vehicles must operate on designated roads. Off-road vehicles are prohibited within all Park and Reservoir land. Garbage Pick-Up Daily - Please place at curbside between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Check in after 7:00 am. Check out by 2:00 pm. There is a maximum limit of eight (8) people per campsite and two (2) camping units per campsite, except for RVs, trailers and pop-ups. PLEASE KEEP VEHICLES ON THE CAMPING PAD OR IN A DESIGNATED PARKING LOT AND OFF THE GRASS. Maximum camping period in a given site is fourteen (14) consecutive days. At the end of this period you must vacate the Park for three (3) days (72 hours). October 1st to March 31st – unlimited stay. Persons under 18 years of age desiring to camp overnight must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or have their written permission, or be in a group supervised by a responsible adult. RESERVATIONS: Reservations may be made up to one (1) year in advance. Payment of the first day’s camping fee is required within ten (10) days of making the reservation. If the reservation is cancelled or changed 72 hours in advance, a refund of the fees will be given. Holiday reservations must be cancelled or changed 14 days in advance. QUIET HOURS: Between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am, all unnecessary noise or activities will be prohibited to allow campers a good night’s rest. GROUND FIRES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Fires are allowed in furnished facilities. The Picnic Area is open from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm. (Please remember quiet hours must be observed.) All pets must remain on a leash or be confined to a vehicle, and must be kept out of all designated swimming areas. To preserve and protect Park vegetation and animals and their habitat, the possession, use or discharge of firearms, archery equipment or fireworks is prohibited.

Safety on the Lake Swimming, Boating, Skiing and All Other Activities are Done at the Visitor’s Sole Risk. In Case of Emergency, Notify Park Headquarters Immediately. PLEASE BE AWARE OF SUBMERGED STUMPS AND LOGS IN THE RESERVOIR. Visitors are expected to observe all usual land and water safety precautions. Watercraft shall not operate within 200 feet of the Coleto Creek Dam, Dikes and Power Plant Intake. Please observe all marked “NO WAKE,” “NO SKI,” “KEEP OUT” and “NO BOAT” zones. Sailboats shall not have mast heights of over 30 feet. Boats with above water exhaust restricted. Shoreline usage of and public access to the Coleto Creek Reservoir is restricted to the Coleto Creek Park. TRESPASSERS will be prosecuted! Violation of any regulation or conduct which interferes with the enjoyment of other visitors will not be tolerated and may result in the removal of offending parties from the Park.
