Krung Kavee House Project Type Year Area Location

Ban Krung Kavee Ransit-Nakornnayok Rd. Buengyeetho, Thanyaburi, Patumtanee

Situated next to a beautiful golf course of Krung Kavee. The project consists of lakes and canals which creates peaceful environment and picturesque scenery.

Site planning focuses to keep most existing trees which provide shade and nature throughout the land.

The property is divided into 3 houses plots include the owner's house, grandparents' house and future house expansion.

Garden spaces are designed in a tropical style matching with Krung Kavee surrounded views—waterscape, golf course and traditional Thai pavilion.

Wood deck extended from living area connect to the swimming pool. The pool is placed along with canal.

To protect privacy, trees and low hedge are planted as a natural fence which blinding eyesight from the outside.

Foliage plants are mainly used in poolside area for easy maintenance.

The pavilion locates on the west of the property between 2 houses. Existing coconut trees form a clear and airy space. An impressive surrounded view can be seen from this pavilion that makes it becomes a good viewpoint and meeting space for families. Planting is selected from common Thai houseplants to create Thainess and tropical feeling.

Space next to grandparents' house is using for home farming and meditation pathway.

The gardening area is Allotted into six planting plots with a plant nursery. There is a small pocket space designed to be a cozy dining area. Colorful foliage plants and flowers planted to make the space vibrant and lively.

Meditation pathway located in a quiet corner of the yard.

The design and materials are simple and natural— minimal color of plants creates plainness and Fragrant plants help with relaxation. Since meditation area should be private and serene, shrub border and cluster of trees planted in some area to block views and create sanctuary space.

Due to planned house expansion, paving materials using in this area are loose material—conveniently demolish in future construction.

AMAN is a luxury hotel group with many destinations across the world. Each Aman property is inspired and informed by the landscape and culture it reside within.

Here, at Amandvip—peaceful island. located in a remote private island, Koh Man Klang in Rayong, eastern Thailand.

The resort offers close to nature experiences with the pristine coral reefs, forest white sandy beach and rocks Guests can have experiences at Amandvip by taking one-day trip package or staying overnight.

PLANT AND MATERIAL LIST Accessible only by private speedboat. Take around 15 minutes from Makhampom pier.

Due to seasonal tide, main pier is located on the north side of the island, seperated from one-day trip pier, for all-year use. White beaches give welcoming feet-in-the-sand experience.

The resort lobby is built conformed to rock cluster. The design based on indigenous materials and style. Bamboo is used as main material which creates senses of nature and uniqueness of the resort. From the lobby viewpoint, our guests can see sandbars which is one of Man Klang island attractions in low tide seasons.

Buggy path serves access to essential points of resort and facilities.

Villas are arranged in a way that is secluded from one other for privacy.

Accommodation is desinged using Thai eastern vernacular architecture style which has seamless from indoor to outdoor spaces.

All-day dining and main swimming pool situated on the center of island hilltop taking the panoramic sea views of both sunset and sunrise.

The sand ladder connects the peaks of the island to the white sandy beach. Steps are made of simple and eco-friendly material which makes small disturbances to nature.

The wellness and spa are setting in the hilltop forest under canopy of trees create a sense of calm and peace.

Phuket PEA Employee Housing Project Type Year Area Location

Housing 2019 48,000 sq.m.

Thepkasattri Rd. Mueng Phuket District, Phuket

Located in the city center of Phuket.

This housing project is setting on the sloping hillside. Construction is limited by local law and regulations for slope areas that result in planning and grouping of building types.

The program consists of the conference hall, canteen, clubhouse and 3 types of employee housing. Each housing type is planned to receives an impressive greenery view.

The design follows PEA's vision of sustainability and environmental responsibility by creating a small disturbance to the site. We keep most of existing mature trees and preserve natural swale which promotes visual of the project.

The clubhouse is situated in the middle of the land as a central building. The amenities include canteen, fitness, living area, and swimming pool. Buildings are designed in compact size which proper to build on sloped area.

Clubhouse setting is easily accessed from employee accommodation—apartments and house clusters. Planting around clubhouse area emphasizes a sense of southern Thailand by using local trees and palms. Aquatic plants are used in natural swale which helping with site drainage.

House arrangement is planned to encourage community in the organization.

Group of housings has a central lawn which designed as common sharing space where employees can involve in an activity together.

Despite designing based on neighborhood, each housing plot has seclusion and privacy; houses are placed in different contour level to avoid each other eyesight. Shrubs are used to create conceptual natural fences.

We use colorful plants to build homelike landscapes across the area.

The hilltop, next to housing area, is viewpoint of the site.

Apartments are placed in lowland due to slope limitation. Berm is built along the site boundary separating apartments from a public road.

Four buildings are arranged in a u-shape and connected to one other through central space. The court is designed as a pocket garden and multi-sport court.

High canopy trees and local palms give well-ventilated open space.

Urban Districts 2020 Handan, Hebei, China

Handan is designated as one of China's National Famous Historical and Cultural Cities. But nowadays trends and innovations gradually replace old things. Our intention is to emphasize the integration of new technology which creates smart and quality city while preserving Handan numerous history, culture and nature.

The design is developed using an urban acupuncture method which helps to revitalize urban areas through 3 levels of interventions.

1. Line-road: A stategy to create identity of the road. selected roads are Renmin Rd., Congtai Rd. and Zhonghua Rd.

2. Node-plot: A strategy to make happening places. Selected from the intersection of roads.

3.Point-street furniture: A strategy to increase convenience by placing smart street furniture across the city.

where nature meets technology

Smart street furniture designs are based on Chinese lifestyle. These furniture are micro interventions to the city, Its changing way of living. Each type of furniture has it own function and placed follows the identity of the road or place.

Traditional culture - Pottery seatings inspired by Cizhou Kiln pottery shape. It serves a variety of uses as a piece of furniture or interactive object.

- Chinese pattern manhole and navigation signage create impressive visual of space.

- Porous Shufa pavement reveals its pattern when it wet.

AP New Gen Designer 2020: New Breath of The City Finalist Project Project Type Year Area Location

Working with AP Thailand in AP New Gen Designer 2020 workshop. Learning and practicing about the design thinking process through 5 steps Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.

After all of the process, we summarize our target user as an office worker who lives in city area, has a work-driven lifestyle, and needs an escape from stressful urban life. Insight information of users can be developed to the concept; starting from user desirability.

The Condominium is located at Rama IV Rd. 10-min-walk from BTS Ekkamai/ BTS Phrakanong. The site is situated in high-density residential area which requires minimum green space of 6,078 sq.m. with 50% on-ground green area.

The design is focused to create landscape environment that gives condo residents a 'Rest'.

41st Fl. Cityscape and Chaopraya river can be seen from this level.

5th Fl. Main common area with indoor/outdoor facilities.

People can feel relax by taking a rest. There are many types of rest we need; common ways to recharge your energy consists of - Active rest - Passive rest - Social rest people can complete these type of rest while doing activities.

Another type of rest is Sensory rest which got from feeling a sense of nature and greenery.

Brainstorm with other team members to find solutions for proper common space, where condo residents can chill and relax.

The concept of each floor is based on activities and accessibility. Taking advantages of various characteristic of different levels, result in zoning concept of Feel, Touch and Explore.

Refine: Bring the old to new Project Type Year Area Location

Post industrial + Cultural Heritage 2020 110,400 sq.m.

Kanchanaburi Paper Mill, Sangchuto Rd., Ban Nuea, Mueng Kanchanaburi District, Kanchanaburi

An 83-year-old paper mill is located in the center of Kanchanaburi's municipality. This paper mill was bulit in 1935 by German engineer.The Area is considered as a landmark and city prosperity initiative which relate to Kanchanaburi urban development.

The factory is significant in cultural heritage since the property is overlapping with the city wall boundary. Buildings should be preserved as local architectural treasure; It was designed in Art deco style which is iconic in time of Siamese revolution.

This project is aim to redesign an unoccupied paper factory into public space for the city.

The concept came from a word 'refine' which is one of paper making process.

Refine (v.)

1. to make something pure or improve something 2. to improve something by making small changes.

3. to make a substance pure by removing unwated material Using this concept in layers of design creates development that preserves sense of place and architecture.

Mapping out chemical contamination across the paper mill site. An inference is formed of factory production process and substance that use within the paper industry.

Althrough the factory is abandoned for years, hazardous materials still remain. To clean up contaminated sites we select remediation technologies emphasize on Bioremediation and Phytoremediation.These methods are less disruptive and environmentally friendly.

Each of reclamation methods is suitable for different contaminated areas; Electrokinetic used in paved area, Bioremediation used in planted area.

With intention to turn this paper mill area to the urban public space that benefits Kanchanaburi residents and neighborhood. the program consists of learning space, recreation space, and commercial area.

We keep the existing structure and refurbish old buildings into cafe, restaurant and co-working space.

Main building turn into bookstore and museum. Outdoor space is designed for flexible use. Amphitheatre, courtyard, and multi-purpose lawn are community space which can hold event or public activities.

Bangkok Blue Phloem TALA Student design competition 2019: Re-public Honorable Mention Project Type Year Area Location

Parks and Public space 2019 0.6 sq.km.

MRT Blue Line, Bangkok, Thailand

Located in Bangkok province, the middle part of Thailand, this proposal tries to redefine Bangkok public spaces for people in the next 30 years. New green public spaces are proposed to link the existing green spaces in Bangkok and make Bangkok becoming a green city.

Therefore, we plan to form green networks by making urban farming along the MRT blue line, loop line train that rides around the capital city, to create accessible green public spaces that beneficially impact the environment and our daily life. This project will encourage people to walk and use public transportation along with creating agricultural productions. In addition, it will decrease city temperature pollution.

Five Criteria applied on each MRT station, for select area to design are space under railway, vertical space on column structure, footpath, canal bank, existing park and space on the rooftop.

The concept of this project is symbolized from plant transportation system. Plant phloem is a tissue that conducts food to all parts of its body. Like phloem, we want to design networks consisted of green areas that can produce crops and deliver them to people. our intention is to connect each of the aspects as follows: Urban farming & Green area: Form new green public areas, redesign existing park and create new green spaces to public space with urban farming function that can use for multipurpose more than just recreation. In addition, creating agricultural production and decrease city temperature and pollution.

Green area & Transportation system: Create green network by building a green link along Bangkok MRT Blue line and connect to existing parks in Bangkok. As a result, make green public space accessible nad encourage walkability and use of public transportation Urban farming & Transportation system: Add farming area follow MRT Blue line, on selected area by five criteria, reduce food miles from food transportation and get people easily reach to agricultural production.

MASTERPLAN

The proposed design includes a station and area on the side or especially green areas next toof the MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkhon line or MRT Blue line that acts as a main major mass transportation system of Bangkok.

MRT Blue Line would form a pan shaped loop line for the Bangkok's metro rail system, encircling the core business and cultural areas of Bangkok and Thonburi, the design is divided into two forms according to the type of metro structure.

- Underground part (main part): Bang Sue - Itsaraphap station - On ground part (extension part): Tha Phra - Tao Poon station

Plant selection: Focused on edible and low maintenance plants.

We select various types of plants that grow in a variety of different conditions and settings such as - Vertical Farming - Hydroponics - Aquaponics - Rooftop Farming - Soil-based Growing

Bangkok Blue Phloem creates a new experience on green public space which can use for multi-purpose more than recreation — increase green areas for the city, Reducing the costs of transportation of various agricultural products, encourage people to use outdoor spaces.

Resulting in city self-reliant and sustainable development.

Chirp Chirp Park: Alternative food produced public park IFLA Student design competition 2020 Project Type Year Area Location

Phra Khanong Market, Phra Khanong district, Bangkok

By 2050 the world will meet global challenge of food shortage. To increase food security, we find alternative sources of food, edible insects. Insects are full of protein, small area needed and environmentally friendly.

Concept of Chirp Chirp park is blending urban farming (Insect farming + vegetable farming) to park with function of exercise, eat and play. Strategy is starting the project as a prototype of urban farming model in Bangkok. To introduce future protein resources (insects) to people and help them familiar with it and expanding project to nearing districts by 10 years.

In 30 years, by expanding our project to many neighborhoods around urban areas, not only in Bangkok, will offer alternative food sources for people.

Main features include: Phra Khanong market: Place to sell food processed from insect powders made from cricket. Waste from market space can be composted to make fertilizers for food production and public park maintenance.

Insect farm: Insect shelter mainly placed in insect farm zone and scatter all over others zone in the park. each tower can produce 228600 insects/month Local park: Playground equipment placed around the park developed from physical characteristic of insects. The purpose of design is to familiarize children with insects while playing. Planting design in local park area is using pollinator attracting plants and herb that edible for insect.
