So what does a Wedding Stylist Do?
A stylist’s aim is to bring a couple’s vision of their big day to life. We spoke to Julie Bethall from Dress to Impress by Julie and asked her about her wonderful job.
My role is to guide our couples to be able to transform their venue from dull to dazzling and to be able to create something personal and unique to them without blowing their budget.
Creating your perfect setting can be daunting, but the key is to chat and agree on the theme/style that the couple love. Have some fun exploring wedding fayres for inspiration. Take photographs of the ideas that wow you and take advantage of the free expert help.
Visit a vast variety of venues to get a feel for the size of rooms, outdoor areas and importantly the prices of packages they offer. By doing this it will help set the all important budget.

Do lots of it! This will help you to consider the look and feel you are trying to achieve. Visit wedding fayres, suppliers premises and online for inspiration. Why not start a scrapbook or create a pinterest board. More than likely you will want everything you see, but remember simplicity is key and having a few feature pieces will make the day.
Once you’ve found your dream venue set yourself a styling budget and stick to it. Some couples like to dress the venue themselves to give it that personal touch.
But why not consider hiring centrepieces and other styling pieces as it can work out more cost effective and stylists have so many more options they can show you.
This can change the styling of your venue dramatically. If you are looking for more dramatic colours, rustic shabby chic look, or want to dazzle your guests with sequins and lavish centrepieces, then colour will change the effect.
There are literally hundreds of colour ideas out there so the ‘skies the limit’.
