How Great Thou Art

Oh Lord, my God, when I, in awesome wonder

Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder

Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Refrain:

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, how great Thou art

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee How great Thou art, how great Thou art

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing He bled and died to take away my sin

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation

And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart

Then I shall bow, in humble adoration

And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art

When We All Get to Heaven

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace; In the mansions bright and blessed He’ll prepare for us a place.

Refrain:

When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll sing and shout the victory!

While we walk the pilgrim pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky; But when trav’ling days are over, Not a shadow, not a sigh.

Let us then be true and faithful, Trusting, serving every day; Just one glimpse of Him in glory Will the toils of life repay.

Onward to the prize before us! Soon His beauty we’ll behold; Soon the pearly gates will open; We shall tread the streets of gold.

Her willingness to engage in missionary stories and scripture readings in Sabbath School, even later in life, was a testament to her enduring love for God and her church community.

Cecily was also an avid traveler. Her adventurous spirit took her to places like Scotland, London, Jamaica, Florida, and Mexico. A highlight of her travels was the Caribbean cruise her children gifted her for her seventy fourth birthday—a trip she often recalled as one of the best presents she had ever received.

She delighted in the beauty of new places, the joy of discovery, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by those she loved.

Cecily’s favourite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." She lived these words daily, embodying resilience, faith, and grace through all of life’s joys and challenges. She never hesitated to share her testimony, telling anyone who would listen how good God had been to her. Her life was a living testament to her faith, inspiring those around her to lean on the everlasting arms of Christ.

Cecily is preceded in death by brothers Harold, Freddy and Neville Hutchinson, leaving dear sister-in-law Arlene and beloved cousins Patsy, Shirlene, Alice, Larry and Cathy in the United States.

She also shared profound friendships with Janet, Reba Noreen, and Dollene—friends who were truly family to her. Their companionship was a source of joy and strength, enriching her life with laughter, support, and

Through every season of life, Cecily carried herself with quiet dignity, resilient strength, and an unshakeable faith. Her mornings always began with heartfelt gratitude: she would rise each day, thank God for carrying her through the night, and embrace whatever lay ahead with grace.

Cecily understood the true meaning of living life to its fullest—not through grand gestures or worldly accolades but through faithful service, unconditional love, and an open heart.

Today, as we gather to celebrate Cecily’s life, we reflect not only on what she did but on who she was—a beacon of faith, love, humility, and strength. Her hands may have labored tirelessly, her voice may have been soft and shy, but her impact is profound and enduring. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, friend, and a faithful servant of God.

Cecily’s story is not one merely of the years she lived, but of the countless lives she touched. Her life was a beautiful, enduring prayer—one of service, gratitude faith, and boundless love.

We are blessed to have walked this earth with her, to have been recipients of her generous heart, and to carry her legacy forward. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that Cecily is now resting safely in the arms of her Savior, reunited with loved ones who have gone before, free from pain, and filled with the eternal joy she so deeply deserved.

Rest in perfect peace, dear Cecily. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith.

Until we meet again.
