A MESSAGE FROM DANIEL O’MEARA 2014 ended with an incredibly strong local real estate market and 2015 is showing signs of being the same if not stronger. Plenty of buyer demand and fewer homes on the market has seen some fantastic prices achieved throughout the peninsula and a dramatic reduction in the average time to sell a property. The market has been very strong through all price ranges and this looks set to continue. With vacant land at Corlette quickly drying up I’d expect to see strong growth in prices for established homes this year as well as for those well located, renovated or ripe for renovation properties. Anything with a substantial water view has been hard to come by and has seen really strong competition between buyers. Speaking of strong competition, Auction continues to be the leading method for achieving phenomenal results, buyers have been providing very strong offers on auction properties and this has led to a massive increase in the number of properties sold prior to auction as buyers have been willing to pay a premium to ensure they secure the property.
