In tandem with the Chair of Architectural Design & Timber Construction and the Sri Bohiraja Foundation in Sri Lanka, 20 architecture students designed an orphanage for Tamil children and went in August until October in the summer of 2017 to build the orphanage with the help of skilled local workers. This presentation is a photo journal documenting from the first days at Munich until the final days at the construction site. It is divided into three sections, the first Part portrays the competition phase of the semester, the middle section shows the detail planning of the building and the third part shows the everyday life on the construction site.
