VALLEY CORP. General contracting company Valley Corp. is truly a legacy, as it was started in 1972 by Del and Helen Chapin, the grandparents of Matt Bevington. It was acquired by Bevington's parents, Bonnie and Roger Bevington, in 1977. Matt took over the company in 2007. “Valley Corp. will celebrate 45 years in business this October,” says Bevington, who now serves as the company’s president. He attributes the long-standing success of Valley Corp. to the strong continuation of offering value and service to the community. “We have the connection of a family owned business,” explains Bevington, adding that he appreciates “being a part of a legacy company.” The legacy started by his grandparents is thriving today largely because of Valley Corp.’s employees. “We have an outstanding core group of employees with the same level of drive and ethics for the business as we do,” Bevington acknowledged. “I enjoy working with this great team, and I’m looking forward to a bright future.” Bevington recognizes that he is fortunate to be involved with a family business. “Being able to work at a family business right out of high school was really unique. It’s a powerful place to learn about people, and business, and what it takes to succeed. My parents gave me a great opportunity.” While he’s not sure if his own sons will someday take over the company, he does foresee the company “continuing to thrive beyond our ownership.” His hope is that his sons will have the same good fortune as he had to “do what they love doing.” 28001 Ida Circle Valley, NE 68064 402.359.2578 valleycorp.com
