Since 1985, Milton J. Womack has invested more than $1 million in Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, embodying their core value to work as proactive and invested partners in building a better Baton Rouge.

For decades, Womack has been a corporate sponsor of our annual signature event, supporting initiatives such as the Intensive Care Unit and Child Life Program. Through their annual charity golf tournament, the company was a lead contributor in building the Children’s Hospital and in the annual Children’s Miracle Network programming. The company has also loyally supported the Children’s Health Excellence and Innovation Fund and hospital operations.

Since 2011, FireQuest has supported our Children’s Hospital through our annual signature event. Increasing their support year over year, founders Mike Gullet and O’Neil Falgoust III utilize the event as a vehicle for the company’s corporate responsibility efforts while making a significant impact at our Children’s Hospital. Over the 13-year partnership, FireQuest has given over $100,000 including a gift to provide the alarm system at Hogs for the Cause Family Support Home at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

Over the past 14 years, more than $15 million has been raised in support of our pediatric patients. From building the hospital, to providing advanced imaging equipment, to offering teddy bears during transport, these dollars have direct impact on patients and families. Our signature annual event, The Big Bash, is an opportunity to engage your leadership, team members, vendors and customers during an evening that always dazzles. For over 20 years, community members have attended this event, raising funds for our hospital and its programs.

Since starting their employee giving campaign in 2021, Baton Rouge Telco Federal Credit Union has committed over $70,000 in support of Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, specifically for our patients with cancer and blood disorders. Through Telco’s commitment of investing in our community, their employees have been afforded the opportunity to make a significant impact in improving the lives of our patients.

As a family-owned organization, one that is voted Greater Baton Rouge Business Report’s Best Place to Work in the Capital Region every year, Benny’s Car Wash actively engages their employees in the family value of giving back to the community. The Haunted Car Wash that supports Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital is just one example. Since 2021, this annual event has raised over $108,000. For one weekend in October, Benny’s employees dress up to give kids, and adults alike, a little fright as they go through the wash. Benny’s makes their place scary to raise funds in support of making our Children’s Hospital a little less scary for our young patients!
