Nunito is a well balanced Sans Serif with rounded terminals.
The project began with Nunito, created by Vernon Adams as a rounded terminal sans serif for show typography. Jacques Le Bailly extended it to a full set of weights, and an accompanying normal non-rounded terminal version, Nunito Sans.

One family, a huge range of weights translation from te reo maybe too?
Nunito has been designed mainly to be used as a display font but is useable as a text font too. Nunito has been designed to be used freely across the internet by web browsers on desktop computers, laptops and mobile devices.
Nunito was initially designed with three weights by the open source typeface designer Vernon Adams. Vernon Adams (born in England, 1967) was a wood carver and typeface designer who lived in San Clemente, California. He developed his first typeface, Mako in 2007 which was designed for use in text and imagery in magazines. He then went on to design dozens of other popular fonts freely available through google fonts, including the popular Oswald and Oxygen typefaces.
Sadly Vernon passed away in 2016 in a scooter accident, but his legacy lives on, with his font Oswald featuring in more than 5,600,000 websites. Nunito is also quite popular, featuring in over 2,500,000 websites.

VARIA
Weight Released in October 2016, the 1.8 version of OpenType and with it they released the ability for a single font file, to behave like multiple different fonts - including differing weights, widths and italics.
Commonly known as variable fonts, Nunito is one such font, with the ability for the end user to choose any weight between 200-900pt.
As well as having a creative purpose with the graphic designer able to create 700 different variations of the base Nunito Typeface, It is also an ideal choice for web design. This is because if you were to for instance design a webpage using five different weights of Nunito, the computer would only have to call one variable font file from the server as opposed to five, improving speed.

Due to COVID-19, there has been an increase in hate speech and racism. It is however, not a new issue. For East Asians residing in New Zealand especially those of us as second-generation immigrants-we experience racism every day. Sometimes remarks are so casual, the stereotypes so ingrained, you wonder whether you are even allowed to be offended? How do we answer questions like:
"How is your English so good?" We are never perceived as New Zealanders, because of our ethnicity. The discrimination makes us feel vulnerable and question our identity. It seems like our fate to feel like a perpetual foreigner in a place we call 'home'.

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let your prophets and fortune-tellers who are with you in the land of Babylon trick you. Do not listen to their dreams, 9 because they are telling you lies in my name. I have not sent them,” says the Lord.
8 Ko te kupu hoki tenei a Ihowa o nga mano, a te Atua o Iharaira: Kei tinihangatia koutou e a koutou poropiti, e a koutou tohunga tuaahu e noho na i roto i a koutou, kaua hoki e rongo ki a koutou moe e meinga na e koutou kia moea. 9 No te mea e poropiti teka ana ratou ki a koutou i runga i toku ingoa: ehara ratou i te mea naku i unga, e ai ta Ihowa.
10 This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah
12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”

14 A ka kitea ahau e koutou, e ai ta Ihowa, ka whakahokia hoki e ahau to koutou whakaraunga, a ka kohikohia koutou e ahau i roto i nga iwi katoa, i nga wahi katoa i peia atu ai koutou e ahau, e ai ta Ihowa; a ka whakahokia mai koutou e ahau ki te w ahi i whakaraua atu ai koutou e ahau. those days when you pray, I will listen. The 27th letter was an in class activity assigned by my lecturer where I had to attempt to design a 27th letter for the english alphabet. I chose to use the character "l" as a basis for my new character, as I thought it had a unique look. While I do like the pronunciation I chose for the letter I struggled to find a place where it would best fit in the alphabet.
The 27th Letter.
