The goal is to provide an accessible, aesthetically beautiful, and universally designed boba/flower shop in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
For the underrepresented APIDA-identifying community in order to foster a feeling of comfort and belonging for all who enter the store. This design will stay true to its neighborhood, highlight universal design elements that make the area accessible, and creates a harmonious blend of aesthetic and function for all visitors.
These sketches and drawings are a combination of quick sketches for assignments, as well as projects.
The intent for this space was to create a functional and visually pleasing hospital room for expecting mothers going through labor.
The light colors and raw materials were used to create a delicate and relaxing space, as these mothers are likely to expirence some very tough hours ahead of them.
With a built-in L.E.D. headwall, these mothers will adore this hospital room and won’t want to leave.
This hand-rendering project includes 24 images printed and 24 hand-rendered versions of those images.
This chair is inspired by traditional cherokee styles, but incorporated a more modern design. The curvature of the design resembles the traditional Cherokee headdress shown in other features of the room. This is a multi-functional chair which includes storage beneath the seat. The wooden panels that line the backing, sides and front of the chair mimic river cane, a material that is widely used among the Cherokee tribe.

Details within the home like wider doorways, lever handles, and natural lighting were key elements to a more comfortable life.
