Phase 1_findings: Finding dominant Architectural Strategies of Alcacer Do Sal: -Façade- For one hand the north façade is opaque,closing views and spaces. For the second hand the façade is “opened”. It create with different elements and materials spaces and situations to see a common exterior space.

-Balcony- Define a new open space in the private one.

-Railing-Let watch to the common space and protect the person -Roof-like a continuity of the common space.

Phase 2_reductions: “Minimum Architectural Strategies”. The creation of a common exterior space, respecting the topography of the place, from the definition of the building itself, with its shape and distribution, guiding spaces to the common space.

The most important elements of the project are: -The corridor, as part of separation between the street and the public and private spaces.

-The facade as well as boundary, creating more open or closed spaces according to the desired orientation.

As balconies and the private space, but at the same time as an element which connects it with the common outer space relationship.

Phase 3_homogenizations: Different façade with different materials and angles depends of the orientation. One part deny the exterior, and the other part open to the common space. Besides the corridor delimitated this space creating the form of the building and orientated the private spaces. These private spaces are formed with different materials playing with transparences, creating the balconies as a semi private-space. Conformed all these elements we appreciate hoe the private spaces and the public spaces change their rules.
