TIP OFF • Ole Miss travels to in-state for Mississippi State Thursday, as the two rivals meet for the 252nd time in the SEC’s most-played rivalry. The Rebels are seeking their first win in Starkville since 2009 and the first season sweep of the Bulldogs since 1998. • The Rebels snapped their six-game SEC winning streak with the loss to Arkansas Saturday. That marked the sec- ond winning streak of six games or better against SEC foes under head coach Andy Kennedy. The Rebels recorded just three such winning streaks in the 71 years before Kennedy’s arrival. • Ole Miss ranks second in the nation in free throw percentage, hitting 78.9 percent of its attempts, which would rank second in the NBA. The Rebels have hit 280 of their last 347 (.807) attempts from the line. Junior G Stefan Moody leads the SEC and ranks seventh in the nation shooting 91.1 percent from the free throw line. • Head coach Andy Kennedy ranks fourth in SEC history with 188 wins by a coach in his first nine years in the league at one school trailing only Kentucky’ Joe B. Hall (205), Florida Billy Donovan (193) and Alabama’s Wimp Sanderson (190). • Senior F M.J. Rhett scored a career-high 16 points. tied a career-best with nine boards and blocked two shots in the Rebels’ last second loss to the Razorbacks. • Senior G Jarvis Summers leads the league in assists in SEC play at 5.5/game and has posted 56 assists in his last 9 games. Summers is the SEC active career leader in points (1,544), assists (481), minutes (3,620) and wins (80), and became just the 14th player in SEC history with 1,500 career points and 400 career assists.
