Ole Miss dropped a 66-45 contest to No. 3/2 South Carolina in its final home game of the 2015-16 slate. Madinah Muhammad led all-scorers with 20 points. Shandricka Sessom was also in double figures for the 23rd time this season with 13 points while Bretta Hart added eight rebounds.

For the second consecutive game, Madinah Muhammad led the Rebels in scoring with 20 points against the Gamecocks. Muhammad has posted 10 games in double figures and has led Ole Miss in scoring four times. She is Ole Miss’ top scoring freshman with 7.4 ppg, which jumps to 8.0 ppg vs. SEC foes.

Bretta Hart started her fourth straight game against South Carolina. Hart is averaging 4.4 points per game and a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game. Hart has started seven games this season and is averaging 3.7 ppg in starts and 7.4 rebounds in games stated. Hart’s grabbed 5 or more rebounds on 15 instances.

Ole Miss is the youngest team in the SEC this season. Ole Miss has 11 players on the roster and eight are freshmen or sophomores. The Rebels are the lone team in the SEC without a senior and Ole Miss has only two players who have been in the program for more than two years in Shequila Joseph and Bretta Hart.

Ole Miss and Arkansas are meeting for the first time this season with Ole Miss leading the all-time series, 25-15, despite Arkansas winning the last meeting 72-61 in the 2015 SEC Tournament in Little Rock. Arkansas leads the series 10-5 in games played in Fayetteville.
