Despite a halftime lead, Ole Miss dropped a 60-46 contest to No. 22/24 Missouri on Sunday. Shandricka Sessom and A’Queen Hayes led the Rebels with 15 points each, while Hayes added a team-best eight rebounds. Shequila Joseph was also in double figures with 10 points while Hayes dished out four assists.

With her 15 points against Mizzou, Shandricka Sessom has posted five straight games in double figures and has reached double figures in 19 of Ole Miss’ 21 contests this season. Sessom is currently averaging 16.5 points per game, which ranks her as the No. 6 scorer in the SEC. Last week she averaged 20.5 ppg.

Shequila Joseph and A’Queen Hayes have stepped up their games in the last several weeks. Hayes is averaging 10.3 points per game in the last three contests while Joseph is adding 13.3 points per game over the last three games, including 21 points in a win over Kentucky on Jan. 21.

Ole Miss is the youngest team in the SEC this season. Ole Miss has 13 players on the roster and nine are freshmen or sophomores. The Rebels are the lone team in the SEC without a senior and Ole Miss has only two players who have been in the program for more than two years in Shequila Joseph and Bretta Hart.

Ole Miss and Alabama will be meeting for the 56th time in Thursday’s meeting. Ole Miss leads the series, 34-21 and won the last meeting 77-63 which snapped a three-game win streak for the Crimson Tide. Ole Miss is looking for its first win in Tuscaloosa since a 69-55 win in 2012.
