Our nation is experiencing intense times. Our nation is in pain, leaving us grieving trying to understand what is happening with our country. As an African American woman, who runs a small business, I have been nothing short but rattled with what is happening in our society. The personal pain that I have experienced in dealing with racism during my life has been raw and real and has bubbled to the surface during all of this. As we see all the hate and violence surrounding and consuming us, it's important to recognize one thing that gives me hope. What gives me hope comes to a simple word: Courage. It continues to show up in my life and I am witnessing it during our challenging times.
