One Room Challenge Assignment: In this One Room Challenge we were to re-design a room in our home. We had to analyze the current state (before re-design) of the room and decide how we would re-do the space.

We created a new room with our aesthetic that focused on current designs and furniture. The new room didn’t have to match the rest of our home.

Design Concept: I created this new room by changing the furniture, by putting in a new white bed, chair and rug, putting in dressers and mirrors. I wanted this room to have a neutral color scheme, white and brown colors.

I added accessories to the room, with pops of colors like green.

Parade Of Homes Assignment: With a partner, we were to create a line of original accessories and put them into a room completely inspired by a room or home from our Parade Of Homes tour in Kansas City.

Design Concept: We created an outside patio room inspired from a couple different outside rooms from the tour. We created and sketched our accessories, we also gave the accessories our own names. The Woody set consisted of our wooden accessories, (wood table, wood lights). We had other accessories we made like The Hang in Chair, which was a grey hanging chair with a white blanket and white and blue pillow. Our color scheme was an accented neutral, white and brown colors with the accent color blue.

Client-Dream At-Home Office Assignment: We were to interview a client of ours, and get ideas for their Dream At-Home Office. What ever our client wanted and/or needed in their office we put in and designed it for them.

Design Concept: My client was very basic with her Dream Office, with little requirements. For her wants I designed a long white desk with a side for her work and a different side for her crafts. I put two grey chairs with a rug and small round table by the windows so she could read in her spare time. I had accessories , like paintings and shelves. The color scheme was an accented neutral for the office, whites and greys with blue.

Dream Home Assignment: For our biggest assignment we were to create our entire dream home. Every room was desgined and furnished with accessories. We needed lighting, accessories, color schemes, fabrics, and flooring for each room we put in our home. We could make our dream home anywhere, big or small.

Design Concept: I created my Dream Home as a one level lake house. I had my master bedroom/ bathroom, living room, kitchen, guest bedroom, second bathroom, and kids’ bedroom. For every room I had furniture and lighting with accessories. My whole house had a color scheme of a white base. With blacks, greys, blues, and browns mixed in. In my master bedroom and living room, were entrances to the outdoor patio.
