THE WORLD'S MOST CELEBRATED TRAVEL DESTINATION The UNESCO mountain village Røros recently won the “Virgin Holidays

Responsible Tourism Awards: Best Destination in 2011” and is in addition one of three finalists for the “Tourism for Tomorrow Award 2012”.

In October 2009 the Norwegian fjords were voted the world’s best place to visit by National Geographic Traveler Magazine in cooperation with the National Geographic Center for Sustainable Destinations. Our modern lifts with cabins/gondolas will take you to the summit of Mount Roalden, with spectacular views of magnificent mountain and fjord scenery.

Refreshments, a good lunch or simply a snack are on offer in our restaurants at the lift top stations. In the center of Stranda you will find a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and services. The world`s best road trip Kristiansund is at the top of Fjord Norway and oozes of charm. Colorful houses surround this cozy harbor.

Kristiansund is known for its history of “clipfish” (dried and salted cod) and has put on an outdoor musical “Donna Bacalao” based on the important clipfish era.

WINTER IN HISTORICAL NORWAY Trondheim is one of the oldest cities in Scandinavia and has more than 1000 years’ experience of welcoming guests from Norway and abroad. northern lights When dreaming about seeing the northern lights, you must remember that you are at the complete mercy of nature. The northern lights love to play hide and seek. Observing the aurora borealis is often a tug of war between your patience and the aurora itself.

Seeing the northern lights is a jaw-dropping and mystical moment. The lights are at their most frequent in late autumn and winter/early spring. October, February and March are the best months for auroral observations. The highest northern lights frequency is between 6 pm and 1 am.
