On behalf of the Oklahoma Beef Council, welcome to Oklahoma City! There are too many restaurants to mention so we highlighted some local favorites. Most are 10-20 minutes from the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds. We hope you will take the time to try local Oklahoma City restaurants while you are in town because we have wonderful dining options no matter the cuisine or the price point.

OKLAHOMA CITY DINING DISTRICTS There are outstanding dining and shopping districts in Oklahoma City. We couldn’t list them all, but we encourage you to learn more by visiting www.visitokc.com.

Stockyards District

Home to a number of shops specializing in all things western, you can outfit an entire ranch (cattle included) or just find a new pair of boots and enjoy a great steak in Stockyards City. CATTLEMEN’S STEAKHOUSE - The oldest continually-operating restaurant in Oklahoma City and a nationally-known Stockyards City staple, Cattlemen’s Steakhouse has been visited by Presidents, movie stars, pro athletes and music icons, among others. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 1309 S. Agnew Ave., cattlemensrestaurant.com, (405)236-0416

HEATHER’S STOCKYARDS CAFE - It’s the diner of all stockyards diners serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. 2501 Exchange Avenue, https://bit.ly/37Ppd98, (405) 602-3142 MCCLINTOCK SALOON AND CHOPHOUSE - Stepping into this restaurant is like stepping back into the Old West. It combines a saloon experience with upscale dining. 2227 Exchange Avenue, mcclintocksaloon.com, (405) 232-0151

Plaza District

If you’re the sort that likes to check out the hip and happening, you’ll find it in the Plaza District; an enclave of locally-owned shops, neighborhood bars, quirky galleries and fun-and-funky restaurants. It’s a short 10-minute drive from the fairgrounds. Easy parking is available at 1633 NW 15th St. EMPIRE SLICE HOUSE - Serving New York Style pies and pizza by the slice with late night dining and rad jams all day. We like the hamburgerler pizza. 1804 NW 16th Street, www. empireslicehouse.com, (405) 557-1760 THE MULE - A favorite of locals, The Mule serves up delicious gourmet hot melts and grilled cheese with quality drinks. We recommend the Cortez made with Jalapeño Cornbread, Braised Short Rib, Pepperjack Cheese, Grilled Jalapeño, Caramelized Onion and Spicy Aioli. 1630 N. Blackwelder Ave, themuleokc. com, (405) 601-1400
