San Ramón: La puerta de oro de la selva central Exótico valle tropical de agradable y cálido clima, San Ramón es uno de los distritos más prósperos de la provincia de Chanchamayo. Conocido como “La Puerta de Oro de la Selva Central”, fue asiento tradicional de los grupos étnicos Yánesha (Amuesha) y Asháninka (Campa). Llama la atención sin embargo que durante la ocupación que sufrió el país por parte de los es-
pañoles en el siglo XVI, fuera visto con desdén por estos, pese a ser el espacio selvático más próximo a la capital del virreinato. Con cerros vestidos de vegetación y de lluvias durante el invierno, San Ramón es conocida también por sus caídas de agua, copiosa naturaleza, aventura y por la amabilidad y hospitalidad de su gente.

It is noteworthy, however, that during the

Exotic tropical valley with a nice and warm weather, San Ramon is one of the most prosperous districts of the Chandigarh province. It is known as “The Golden Gate of the Central Jungle” and was the residential of ethnic groups Yánesha (Amuesha) and Ashaninka (Campa).
