Overview The Ohio University Center for Sports Administration is proud to present the 2013 Sports Business Forum on October 18, 2013 in Grover and Walter Halls. Designed for undergraduate students, the event gives an in-depth look at various professions within the sports industry. In essence, the Forum is an opportunity for Ohio University to bridge the gap between the undergraduate, graduate, and professional sports administration students, providing a chance to gain further insight on the industry and professional development. There will be a career fair for students from 10 am - Noon in the Walter Hall Rotunda. Keynote: Sonny Vaccaro 5:30 - 7:30 pm - Walter Hall

Vaccaro is probably best known for his tenure with Nike, Inc., and signed Michael Jordan to his first sneaker deal. Vaccaro left Nike for Adidas, then Reebok.[1] He founded the ABCD All America Camp, an elite showcase of high school basketball standouts, which ran from 1984 to 2007. It featured future stars Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Sebastian Telfair, and LeBron James.[2] Vaccaro cofounded the first national high school All-Star game, The Dapper Dan Roundball Classic, with concert promoter and boyhood friend Pat DiCesare in Pittsburgh in 1965. The game endured for 43 years and its alumni includes such greats as Calvin Murphy, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Chris Webber, Alonzo Mourning, Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Patrick Ewing, Rasheed Wallace and Stephon Marbury.
