Oak Grove's Acts of Random Kindness focuses on spreading kindness and happiness to high school students around the community by having projects, campaigns, and special ARKtivites every month. We began as a small club and have greatly grown over the years and have been able to collaborate with other on-campus clubs to grow even more. It is amazing to see so many students join the club, wanting to spread kindness.
It is very difficult when you can ’t physically spread kindness while quarantining and social distancing, but we are doing our best to do what we love: spreading happiness. It's the little things that count! During this quarantine, our club has tried to bring light to the situation we are in by organizing monthly meetings where we update our members about our upcoming events and fundraisers. At these meetings we also do ARKtivities that involve spreading kindness, whether it is to ourselves, friends, families, or our community. By collaborating with other clubs, such as InterARKeyCEF we also help our local community.

OGVSU Brings Local and Minority Owned Businesses To You!
Written By OGVSU
For the month of March, Oak Grove ’ s Vietnamese Student Union (VSU) shared a variety of local small businesses on their Instagram for others to support! Especially with current events regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and Asian hate crimes, it is more important than ever to support minorities. Minority businesses contribute and strengthen American economy and communities. They can become awesome alternatives for your large corporate and retail companies. Dating back to 1995, over half of the U.S. ’ s jobs were created by small businesses. According to the SBA, small businesses created 8 million jobs. By supporting small businesses, more job opportunities are created. Not only does your money go towards minority entrepreneurs, you can often find ethically sourced and authentic items or food. VSU organized their fliers in four groups, with 1-2 sets released each week. Tune in to receive information about bakeries, restaurants, and much more! Most businesses will be based in San Jose or can easily be found with the internet in your hands. The last 2 sets will continue in April, which can be found on VSU’ s Instagram. @vsu.oghs
