Positively Impacting Girls Lives

Sunshine and Swings: Spring Clinics Shine in May

Hoping for sunnier skies, we shifted our Spring Clinics to May and the weather delivered! With warmer conditions, participation increased compared to 2023 Fiftyone girls participated in PGA instruction across four northern Ohio golf facilities.

The excitement doesn't end there: 10 of these enthusiastic young golfers are continuing their journey through the OGGF Ongoing Instruction Program this summer Check out OGGF org for more details on this program, in which the Foundation pays for a portion of lessons for girls who want to continue to improve their skills

Here's to a summer and fall of growth, fun, and fantastic golf!

"Bring Your Mom to Golf Night" Hits a Hole-In-One

The Ohio Girls Golf Foundation, in collaboration with the Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation, proudly hosted the first-ever "Bring Your Mom to Golf Night" at Fox Den Golf Course. Timed perfectly to celebrate Mother's Day, this heartwarming event honored the incredible female mentors within the OGGF community.

Seventy enthusiastic participants enjoyed PGA instruction, engaged in a putting contest, received tee gifts, and enjoyed dinner together following the clinics. The evening was filled with laughter, learning, and lasting memories.

We’re already planning to bring this fantastic event back. We can't wait to see you there for another round of family fun!

Set for Monday, July 22, this year’s Ohio Girls Golf Foundation (OGGF) Showcase featuring LPGA Tour Professional Barb Mucha will kick off the high school golf season by hosting players from all over the state.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on individual and corporate donations. This year, to save more dollars to give to the girls we serve, we're asking you to please donate online at OGGF.org or by scanning

Held at Avon Oaks Country Club in Avon, 100plus girls will enjoy a series of clinics with area PGA and LPGA golf professionals prior to the event. The longstanding tournament is open to high school girls, including incoming freshmen and graduated seniors.

I’m thrilled to be celebrating our 30th anniversary at the Showcase,” says Mucha. “Over the decades, we’ve served golfers of all abilities, who’ve come here to learn, compete and succeed.” For Parma Heights native Mucha, who had to play on the boys’ high school golf team because there was no girls’ team, headlining the OGGF Showcase has become an annual tradition.

Since the formation of the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation in 1994, the number of girls’ high school golf teams in the state has grown from zero to more than 200.
