INTERIOR DESIGN O’MORE COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
TRANSFORM THE WORLD THROUGH THE POWER OF DESIGN The interior design program at Belmont University understands that design has the power to transform the world. Our program is a balance of practical skills and conceptual exploration, enabling students who are socially, historically and culturally aware to solve complex problems with great design. The interior design industry is competitive, and at Belmont University we prepare students to enter the workforce as leaders, to pursue advanced degrees of study and to pass the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification), allowing one to become certified, licensed and registered within their state of practice. Belmont’s mission, as a “student-centered Christian Community providing an academically challenging education that empowers men and women of diverse backgrounds to engage and transform the world with disciplined intelligence, compassion, courage and faith,” is the foundation of the interior design program. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional design education that is academically challenging for all students, while demonstrating compassion, integrity and humility. Interior design is continuously evolving. We embrace the tradition of traditional hand skills united with new technologies to assist in effective communication of ideas. Students learn evidence-based strategies to support theories and perpetuate innovation while considering the health, safety and welfare of inhabitants. Let us help you find your future in interior design!
