UPGRADING OUR REACH
At OETA, we’re thrilled to announce the successful replacement of all 14 low-power transmitters across Oklahoma! From Boise City to Idabel, these upgrades ensure better signal quality and reliability for our viewers statewide.
This project was made possible by $3 million in one-time funding for fiscal year 2025. Thanks to strategic vendor negotiations and bulk pricing, we’re replacing not only all 14 low-power transmitters but also all four highpower ones. The final two—serving Oklahoma City and Cheyenne—will be completed by the end of summer.
With a lifespan of 20-25 years, these new transmitters constitute a significant investment in the future of public television in Oklahoma. Whether you’re tuning in for news, educational programs, or entertainment, these upgrades mean a stronger, clearer signal for years to come.
Thank you for your support as we continue to bring Oklahomans the best in public broadcasting!
—VP of Engineering, OETA
