On Wednesday, February 19th, seek out the wonders of the natural world with Sir David Attenborough in Nature: Museum Alive at 7 p.m., followed by Secrets of the Dead: Plunderer at 9 p.m. This gripping documentary uncovers the dark legacy of Nazi art theft, with the ongoing efforts to reclaim looted treasures from Jewish families and the occupied territories.

Then, here at home, check out Great Migrations: A People on the Move, the newest production from Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., as he narrates this compelling series and explores the profound impact the African American movement has had on shaping our nation. It airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Also from Dr. Gates, Jr., Finding Your Roots brings new episodes of fascinating global connections Tuesdays at 7 p.m., with encore presentations on Wednesdays at 10 p.m.

For our drama lovers, Father Brown continues to captivate in the 11th season with its mix of suspense, wit, and moral reflection. Join us Sundays at 6 p.m. for a journey into the charming village of Cotswold, where justice and redemption take center stage. Then, on Sunday, February 23rd at 6 p.m., Alan Cumming hosts Great Performances: Movies for Grownups Awards with AARP The Magazine. This star-studded celebration honors the career of Glenn Close and salutes films that inspire audiences of all ages.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH

In honor of Black History Month 2025, OETA is presenting a series of programs that explore the significant contributions of African Americans in labor and society. This year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor,” highlights the diverse ways work has intersected with the experiences of Black individuals, shaping communities and the broader American society.

Great Migrations: A People On The Move, Parts 2, 3, and 4

Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. hosts this four-part series exploring African American migrations, highlighting the political and economic forces driving these movements and their cultural impact.

100 Years From Mississippi

Mamie Lang Kirkland, 111, revisits Mississippi after fleeing racial violence a century ago, sharing her extraordinary story of resilience, hope, and the enduring impact of America’s racial legacy. February 11th at 10:00 pm.

Children of the Civil Rights

Directed by Julia Clifford, this film revisits the 1958 sit-in led by Clara Luper and her students in Oklahoma City, highlighting the role of youth activism in the civil rights movement. February 13th at 7:00 pm.
