3.11 CULTURAL HERITAGE 1. BCH Staff Capacity Building & Planning Workshop Bureau on Cultural Heritage (BCH) staff led by Executive Director Ardan D. Sali worked together to improve the implementation of the mandates of the Bureau. The programs and projects for 2012 were identified and discussed in detail so as to ensure the success of the activities and everyone will have individual tasks to perform. BCH personnel were also grouped to conduct a research on all the provinces of the autonomous region. 2. Installation of Traditional Ornaments Performing their role in creating a colorful ambiance through traditional pandalas, likos etc. the BCH facilitated such decoration to denote the importance of various occasions being conducted in the region. BCH was responsible for the beautification of the ORG Conference Room and ORG premises including SKCC. It has also facilitated the decoration during the Awarding Ceremony of “Paint for Peace Project”, visit of dignitaries from the European Union together with the International Monitoring Team at the ORG building, celebration of People Power “Edsa Revolution, Social Contract signing between ARMM Regional Government and Civil Society Organization (CSOs), ARMM Election Democratization Summit, Women’s Month Celebration, and Bangsamoro Week of Peace Celebration. 3. Outreach Program The Bureau conducted an outreach program at the Masjid Talusan, Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao on March 3, 2012. The activity included a “Call to Prayer” (Azan) contest and a “Musabaqah” (on-the-spot quiz contest) participated by 38 students.
