BP’s response in pictures

The sinking of the Deepwater Horizon rig on April 20, in the Gulf of Mexico, not only saw 11 oil workers disappearing in the US Gulf of Mexico, but the oil slick continues to cause marine and environmental havoc. US President Barack Obama described the sprawling oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico as a “potentially unprecedented” environmental disaster. The Transocean Drilling Rig Deepwater Horizon was engaged in drilling activity on behalf of BP at Mississippi Canyon Block 252, about 52 miles southeast of Venice, LA, USA.
