In this portfolio, I created a unique variety of projects to highlight my abilities and skills in interior design. From designing individual homes to real estate and marketing work, I successfully executed each piece of work under my interior design firm, Natural Interiors. Although I am able to represent many styles, I am especially drawn to chic and minimalistic looks with a light, clean aesthetic.

Introduction

Ugly Chair

In this project, I utilized an unconventional chair to create a beautiful living room for my clients who were determined to include this heirloom in the home. This living room takes inspiration from the modern bohemian interior style and works with warm woods and hues.

Brand Marketing

An important part of being a successful interior designer is the ability to market one’s brand. To advertise my business, Natural Interiors, I created a company logo, brochure, and business card that reflects my minimalistic aesthetic while capturing the attention of my potential clients.

Opposing Design Styles

When designing for multiple clients, a designer may have to incorporate a mix of styles into one cohesive look. With this living room, I blended the styles of coastal and art deco to give my clients a beautiful space to enjoy in this vacation home.

House Hunters

Interior Design can also be a gateway to careers in real estate. With this collection of homes selected for my clients, the Watson family, I offered three possible homes suited to their needs. Using interior design knowledge, I acknowledged potential style choices and uses for each space.

Tiny House

Space limitations can be a difficult obstacle when designing a space, but with a unique approach, it is possible to thrive even with the constraint. In this design, I showcase a tiny, rustic house that creates a stylish, yet fully functional home within 500 sq. ft.

In this portfolio, I worked on projects to showcase my abilities in fashion design. I created a children’s wear line, marketed a custom handbag boutique, designed a costume collection, and practice crucial skills in the fashion industry. In my designs, I prefer to use a classic style that reflects my aesthetic preferences and add stylish accessories.

Introduction

Sketches

Sketches are an important tool for executing looks and the designer’s vision. They can take various forms depending on one’s personal taste. To the left, I illustrate two designs with different formats, a 3D sketch and a 2D sketch. Each evokes the outfit’s mood and captures the overall design for future replication.

Embellishments

Due to the creative nature of their work, a fashion designer must know how to create a masterpiece out of a simple base item. In this project, I transformed a simple blue short-sleeve top by adding a graphic print monogram in silver along with small dots at the hem. In addition, a curved line was painted along the hem as well and small French knots were added below.

Children’s Wear

The fashion industry serves a wide range of ages, beginning at birth. This collection used the book, Splat the Cat by Rob Scotton, as inspiration for a transitional-season line for children. Each look is designed to look adorable while maintaining the most comfort for young wearers. Unlike traditional children’s lines, this line gives the child a chic and sophisticated look to let them express their sense of style, even at a young age.

StoreDesign & Brand

One outlet of the fashion industry is the stores where designs are sold. To show my marketing and branding skills, I organized a handbag boutique, Sunrise Handbags, developed a symbolic logo, wrote a company brochure, and depicted our potential products. This company launched across the United States in six major fashion cities with a headquarters in New York.

Costume Design

Fashion plays a crucial role in the execution of media as well. For the novel, Little White Lies by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, I designed a collection of costumes for three scenes along with coordinating makeup looks and the materials used to reproduce each sketch. Each design choice considered the text and character to fully set the scene for this social elite mystery story.
