The OECD Risks That Matter survey is the first cross-national survey of its kind looking at people’s perceptions of social and economic risks and how well they think government addresses those risks. From March to April 2018, the OECD engaged with a representative sample of 20 000 people aged 18- through 70 years-old in 19 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia and the United States. This brief provides a summary of the survey’s first round of results.
