Letter from Chapter President Greetings!

The Rho Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is pleased to present the inaugural edition of our Minority Business Directory. This directory aims to highlight and support businesses in the BCS area owned by minority professionals. As a collective of professional women, our sorority is attuned to the determination and strength required daily by small business owners to be successful and long-lasting.

But more than sheer will, these businesses need to be spotlighted and supported.

Many of us in the BCS area desire to support our local entrepreneurs and have a vested interest in seeing those businesses and their owners survive and thrive.

To do so, we need to be aware of them and financially support them. The intersectionality of being a small business owner and a minority results in a combined hardship and a greater need for support and encouragement. Therefore, we hope that this directory will continue to expand as your businesses continue to grow and increase in number. This is meant to be but one landing spot for businesses to self-promote and for patrons to locate professional services in our community.

This directory is free of charge to the business owners because it expresses our desire to lend a hand in their success. Spread the word to other businesses that wish to be included in future editions and to persons that seek services that are promoted here.
