Q1.Has there been any meetings of the international parent recently and/or is there a meeting planned? The last meeting I am aware of was in July. A1. You are correct there have been no meetings convened since July as Laura has been dealing with family problems. Issues relating to events and drawdowns overe the autumn were handled satisfactorily by e-‐mail. Q2. Was there a payment from the Crondall Fireworks? A2. The event did not make a profit so no payment/donation was received from Crondall Events. The organisers did, however, allow us to retain profits from candy floss sales and we banked £92 from this activity. Q.3 Are there any up coming events planned? If so, do these events need upfront costs covered? A.3 Colin Carswell had booked the Crondall Village Hall for a race night on Saturday 7th March. However, he has recently discovered that the Village School is holding a race night on the previous evening so it does not make sense to go ahead with the race night plans. He has contacted the Hall to enquire about any later availability for a race night or other activity. Q. 4 I am aware that there was an offer for the participants to do some gardening. Was this offer taken up? If so, by who? What is the current amount in the account? Are there any payments due? In or out. A.4 A request for help with gardening from Cllr Sharyn Wheale was forwarded to Lindsey Millard by David Millen of 100th SG. Catherine Read took on organisation and made a number of attempts to contact Cllr Wheale but without success. At the beginning of December she received a call from SW, who said that the help required was not really gardening but the movement of topsoil from a neighbour's garden and that this needed to take place over the coming weekend. In view of the short notice there was not enough time to contact the other families and obtain a response so the Read and Hensby families undertook the work. A cheque for £100 has been paid received and added to the pot to be shared among all families at the next drawdown . SW has this week contacted Catherine to confirm that she requires some further assistance in the garden this spring. If any families are prepared to help (subject of course to availability once dates are confirmed) please e-‐mail Catherine Read. Q.5 With the last big Iceland payment due on 31st January, can all money be used for drawdown? A5. A drawdown of £72 per participant was made in late January, leaving £104.64 in the account. A further £500 has since been credited to the account (Rotary) and two more payments are due: £323 (Waitrose) and £265 (share of additional scout shop profits).
